Bought these for our scorekeepers. They are lightweight. The press board flexes a bit but not enough to cause an issue. The clips are good, just the right tension and seem like they should hold up. A good option if you need a bunch of 8.5"x14" clipboards at a reasonable price.

This is a big, good quality clipboard, and overall, a good value.

While this clipboard is the size we were looking for, we were disappointed with the lack of sturdiness in the board itself. Keep that in mind for the purpose of it's use.

We are homeschoolers and having clipboards around is SO helpful for taking notes outside, in the car, on field trips, or even in front of the TV. I buy the longer legal size because I can write instructions below where the bottom of the paper would end. For example, on one I put Capitalize and Punctuate with a sharpie underneath, just as a reminder because those get forgotten.I also find that younger kids, when writing, have a hard time holding down a page with one hand so it doesn't move and then writing with the other hand. This simplifies it a bit, holding the paper still so they can focus on writing.I also use household twine and tie a pencil to the loop on top with about 24" of length so that there's always a pencil handy. The hook also allows you to hang it from the wall if you wish. I have three for different subjects and they are just awesome.
