The feet caught on things easily and got broken easily
Worked well, but didn't hold up well in a work setting. The feet caught on things easily and got broken easily. If you are careful with it and want to use it occasionally, it should be fine.

Reasonably functional with some detractions in the design
Some of my cats are getting on in years and their weight has been dropping, so I got this scale to more accurately track their weight week to week and stay on top of any problems. For that purpose, this scale gets the job done - I can measure up to the 10th of an ounce with this, an improvement on the old method, where I used our less-than-precise bathroom scale to weigh myself+cat and then subtract my own weight. The scale is large enough to allow me to set each cat on it comfortably, and it has a Hold function that can "freeze" the weight for those days when one of them won't sit still. I've been using it for about 4 months and haven't encountered any problems - once-a-week weigh-ins, for 3 cats - maybe three minutes use each week, total. While it works well for my intended use, when it arrived I was very disappointed in the build quality of the scale. It is largely (if not entirely) plastic, and has a cheap feel. I wasn't too happy to have spent $50 on it, as the materials didn't seem to warrant the price. I definitely don't think it's worth the full price of $80.Also, storing it between weigh-ins can be a challenge, as it is large and awkwardly shaped, not something I personally want to have laying out all the time. Curves may make the design more "modern" but that gets in the way of making it easy to stow away when you are not using it. Currently I prop it on its side against a wall in the closet (it is too large to fit flat on a shelf), but if I don't put something heavy in front of it to hold it in place against the wall, it either slides down or falls over - and I don't think the plastic would hold up well if that happened a lot. If leaving it out between uses and/or having a place to stow it away is potentially an issue for you, it's something to consider.Overall, I'm keeping it because it does meet my need. But I also think it's overpriced and causes headaches to store, so if the one I now have ever bit the dust I wouldn't buy it again.
