The drill bit is not machined or forged looks to be molded and not a great mold at that and I don't think it is sharp and the thread that pulls the bit into the wood is rounded and the end that fits into the drill is machined but poorly? For Klein I would say it is a knock off or I will stop buying Klein tools; they aren't cheap tools they are made for professionals . the Placement Tool is made to lock open but I had to bend it a little to get it to lock. what is with this Klein set? I'll add on to this after its done a few dozen drills. I like the angle handle that was with it though. It works great for the flex bit or any pull rods you need to get a nice 90 degree turn done in a tight space. Haven't used the little wire mesh piece yet. Don't know if I ever will.
