The Truglo TFX , possibly the best pistol sights on today's market?
I decided to purchase the Truglo TFX sights for a Gen 4 G17 after reading up on all the pro's of the TFO's (1st generation) hundreds of positive reviews and only 1 common issue which was the front fiber optic post falling out due to recoil. The introduction of the TFX sight was solely to correct that from happening so the TFX gives you the same great day/night high viz capability with none of the con's.They are very easy to install. The rear needed to be run up the side of a stone about 3-4 times on each side but they still went in snug. The FS fit very well there was almost no movement without being secured with the mount screw. I used a bit of non permanent thread lock on the bottom of the FS, on the screw in the slide, and on the rear slide set screw. The fiber optics are ridiculous in these sights in just a small amount of indoor light or even standing by a window on a cloudy day they glow bright green. When you are outside in any type of light condition they are brighter then any tritium site on the market making them astonishingly easy to align and get right on target. The rear sight very low profile very smooth and defiantly anti snag if the user was looking to use them on a concealed carry pistol. They also appear to retain enough of a flat ledge on the front portion of the rear site for those who have to have the ability for one handed manipulation. Keep in mind it will do it but it may not be the best of that's most important too you.The upgrades made to the FS as compared to the TFO's is definatly there. The fiber optics are fully seated and secured on all 4 sides of both the front and rear sites. The captive ring is fitted perfectly on the front and also includes a HI viz white ring around the fiber optic/tritium vile for fast pick up not that's its really required. Short of the sites completely breaking off due to the pistol being dragged or dropped directly on I do not see the posts or the tritium inserts coming loose or falling out.The tritium is very good but if I had to give the sights a knock this is where it should be yhey are not as bright as some others. I compared them with a new set of XS 24/7 big dots I just received and installed on a G26 and they are slightly dimmer. It appears the reason for this is the fiber optic post. While looking at the FS in the dark from the top you will see that fiber optic is glowing in all exposed areas due to the light given off by the tritium escaping from the top of the open fiber optic posts which seems to really effect the FS more then the rear. This tells me the quality of the tritium is 100% it's just being used over a larger area then a normal set of night sights. This small con in the design in no way effects these sights from doing their job or detracts in their over all effectiveness in a low light or no light situation.I would highly recommend these sights to anyone who was looking to replace a factory set up. Other then Bulls eye shooting which requires an adjustable rear site I cant think of a role that these sights cannot fit target, concealed carry, self defense, competition the TFX's will do it all and more. Hopefully they will be making them for more lines of pistols in the near future.

Perfect 'iron sights.'
I wanted replacement sights for the crappy plastic ones that came on my Walther PDP (I thought only Glock put on cheap plastic crappy sights...), and was pleased to find out that any sights that fit the Glock 19 would fit the PDP. I have TruGlo sights on ALL my pistols so I knew what I was getting, but these were my first Tritium AND fiber-optic all-in-one sights, and I can tell you I am even more impressed than I thought I would be!The Tritium is perfectly bright at night, and by day or indoors in the light, the fiber optics pick up light and make them sights glow nich and bright, so they are great for low light/no light as well as bright light! In fact, in the sun, they are so bright you don't have ANY problem seeing the sight picture! I'm not an 'optics' (red dot) guy, I don't believe in all that garbage for a self-defense weapon, I train and get used to standard, or 'iron' sights, and maintain my proficiency without relying on toys mounted to my pistol.Like I said, I got this model for my Walther PDP as they fit the Glock 19, so if you use THIS set, you will need the Glock front sight tool (you can get that here on Amazon), and a rear-sight press, also from Amazon, both for what it would cost you to pay a gunsmith to do it for you. It takes about ten minutes from start to finish with the correct tools I mentioned above. Please note, do NOT use the red Loctite when installing the screw on the front sight, use the BLUE Loctite, and also USE THE SMALLER SCREW that comes in the package for these sights if installing on a Glock AND for installing on the PDP if that's what you are putting them on...I used the original screw that came on my PDP but the front sight was loose as the PDP screw was too long.I have put about 400 rounds through the PDP so far and the sights are still tight and working as they should. Highly recommend TruGlo...they are as good as the other brands but cost less than most.

Great sights
I have used these TruGlo sights for many years and I am still impressed with how bright these sights are, especially in sunlight. They are very easy to pick up as you press out up on target. I recommended these for my brother in law’s 2 Taurus pistols. This was the first time I have ever installed on a Taurus G2C (typically I’ve installed on hundreds of Glocks or Walther or S&Ws).My first thought was that the Taurus factory front sight had an oblong hole that didn’t perfectly fit the TruGlo front post. It took about 5 minutes of light file work to get a nice snug fit. Likewise, the rear sight did not press fit easily so I had to clean up the dove tail as well as edges of the sight itself. With another 5 minutes of filing it, I was happy with the overall fit. I did have to do more work with these sights for the Taurus to fit right, but what do you want for a $300 pistol?Overall, TruGlo is a hard sight to beat.

Best iron sights for the vp9sk
I couldn't stand the rear sights, they were blacked out, even though I had night sight(s) it's only the front with a large glow in the dark white dot. So these Truglo sights are significantly easier to see and faster to set my eye down the line. Plus they light up in absolute darkness amazingly. In the day, they are naturally bright with the beautiful fiber optic. Well worth the money

Wow.
Très bien fait, juste un peux de fitting à faire. Super en pleine noirceur.

This sights are well built and work great in all lighting conditions
This sights are well built and work great in all lighting conditions. The fibers are very bright during the day and the trillium kicks in when it is dark. The notch is square but is wide enough for quick target acquisitions. I like my Glock again...(just make sure you don't use a punch to install these sights but use a sight pusher instead)

Different sights arrived than what i ordered, the front ...
Different sights arrived than what i ordered, the front sight was fiber optic only, not tritium and the rear sight was not the TFX model it was the older TFO. Have a look at my pics.I guess that explains the substantially lower price, buyer beware.
