STANDING STILL an absolutely gripping Scottish crime thriller (Detectives Anderson and Costello Mystery Book 8)

Excellent read but proof readers need to check spellings and certain words in sentences.
See above observations.

Standing still
As usual, a very gripping and addictive read. I've been reading the Anderson and Costello. books in sequence but think I might have skipped afew so,will have to go back and check. But these books are brilliantly written and hard to put down and I,d recommend them if you ,we a fan of crime thrillers.

Sad and scary!
Having lost my own relative in a ‘care home’ some of this book was enough to make me cry. But I know it’s only fiction. I am familiar with this part of Glasgow so the sense of place is good, if a little mixed-up. Still enjoying this series.

Great!
Usual high standards well written great characters very true to life. Intriguing storyline I loved it. Highly recommended to everyone.

Disappointing.
Read a few books by this author and the first few were really good.Unfortunately, the latest books (especially this one), have become weirder and weirder.Much more distasteful and violent. And I am not sure why the author has such a dislike of dogs. She must have because of all the bad things that now happen to them (decapitation etc)What I would suggest is the lady seeks help because she is definitely now having mental problems. Asshown by this latest book!

What a read...
As the title says an absolutely gripping story and I totally agree. Couldn't put the book down. Can't wait to start to read the next one

A return to an earlier ie poor standard
Not much mystery, not much tension certainly not gripping. The only mystery is how the “other” patients in the locked ward stayed alive if they were dosed with Paracurarium whatever that is and how none of the relatives even suspected something was amiss. Police procedure OK this time as are the relationships between the officers but Wyngate have to suffer and why does Anderson’s daughter have to be involved? A poorish addition to the series as the villain was obvious after the first third and the ending a pathetic attempt at Grand Guignol.

Standing Still
I think Carl Ramsey is one of the best writers I have read she certainly knows how to weave a crime story I have read most of her books and they are all good this story is very clever and it's not until the last chapter that you have a guess who is the murder of you want a good read them this is it.
