Goodbye, My Rose Garden Vol. 3

Goodbye, My Rose Garden was one of the best new manga series I read in 2020, a year of good but short-lived series. It and Our Wonderful Days had three volume spans. Scarlet ended after just two volumes. Act-Age had two superb volumes published in the U.S. before a scandal involving the writer led to the series' cancellation. The final volume of Goodbye, My Rose Garden is excellent and kept me guessing how it would ultimately resolve. Alice and Hanako have acknowledged their feelings for each other but Alice is under heavy pressure to marry her suitor Edward and preserve family respectability. Alice wants Hanako with her even after the marriage but Edward makes it clear that after the wedding, Hanako will be on the next ship back to Japan. And Hanako is trying to find a course of action. Goodbye, My Rose Garden boasted fine writing and art as well as a moving story. Readers should love the image of Alice and Hanako included with Dr. Pepperco's final comments (and the writer does not rule out a sequel).

Not the twisty plot, but👌 perfect anyone looking for a light romantic read. I got that bubbly feeling we all love.

A nice conclusion to the series, really well thought out and the only way this could've come to an end nicely all curveballs in the relationship considered. I'm really glad that it ends well despite the forlorn name of the title.

A moving love story. I tend to find myself rereading it more often than not. Please support the author by purchasing all 3 volumes. Hopefully she will write a story of their life after volume 3.

This ticked all of my boxes in a romantic story. I read them all in one sitting, only to wish they were longer.

Does it start backwards ? Im confused

Final volume was very suspenseful, wondering whether or not the couple would separate for good or take their chances to be together.

I'm just waiting on the 4 vol. I can stop reading it

Lovely setting, great characters- not explicit but it works. Could ve been made into a perod drama. Would be good to see what happens after the end...if there is a sequel
