This mirror assembly is exactly like the one that came with my 2008 Tahoe. Great price point, great quality, mirror moves in and out fine, and the directionals work flawlessly. The mechanic popped it on because the car happened to be in for service anyway, but I’m sure it would be easy for anyone to install.

I'm an experienced car guy and this is not even close to my 1st mirror replacement. I bought this mirror because of my uniformly positive experience with many Dorman parts over the years. Sadly, this mirror folds to the closed position when the door is closed, or on the freeway, due to the lack of a functioning "hold open" detent (this in not a powered retraction). Due to other priorities, I'm going to live with a workaround vs. tearing the door apart again. Extremely disappointing.

Great buy for the price. Works great and looks 99% factory. There's only one con to it. The factory mirror is a solid arrow signal light and the dorman is led dots that are much brighter than factory and will light up your passengers face at night with the window down. Other than that it works just as well as a factory mirror and you don't have to pay $400 or more

I was a bit picky in wanting to keep same outside turn indicators, and also the blind zone warning. Found that when I disassembled and used the mirror adjuster motor from the original unit, the mirror and adjuster would fit in the new housing with the new motor and outside frame. You have to use the original harness and remove the new one, and remove the new mirror adjuster, but with a little bodging, I have a new assembly with all the functionality of the old one. Tips: you will need to cut the plugs off the puddle lamp and another two conductor lead to get them through the motor pass through, all other plugs fit through. There are new ends for the puddle lamp anyway, so really kind of needed. Also may need a few small washers for the four screws holding on the mirror adjuster motor, as the new mounts are a bit more shallow.Overall, very happy to have folding functionality back and at a good price and quality!

easy to install

Was excited to have a functioning mirror again and not having to shell out > $500 to have it! Received the mirror in great shape and after watching a quick video on how to install it, I went to work. The installation was easy to do and I was surprised that in about 30 minutes, I was done, didn't break anything and had no left over parts. I now have a mirror that folds in and out again from the button inside my car and everything else works great with it as well. Drove to work this morning and did not experience any noise from the mirror and even hitting some pretty good bumps, it stayed in place nicely!

Mirror did not work properly

I installed both the drivers and passenger side mirror on my 2009 GMC Yukon Denali.Pros:1. Looks similar to factory2. Black cover matches vehicle paint3. Folding action works4. Blinkers work5. The heated function appears to be soundCons:1. Does not hold memory position. I have to readjust every time I go to drive.2. Memory buttons do not work3. Reverse assist does not function4. Glass in my driver side mirror appears blurred5. Each time I hit the unlock button on my key fob the mirror makes a motoring sound (readjusting my mirror in an undesirable position)

Worked perfect! Fit to door was not perfect but acceptable for the price.Would recommend.
