Good, tight fit and ease of entry!
These guards work as promised - I hitch the main padding high up on the knee and I don't even know they are on after a few pedal strokes. They don't slide down my leg at all. I haven't yet fallen on them so can't speak to protective properties but they will at least reduce the scrapes when the inevitable occurs.

No more grazed knees
Great light weight and comfortable design. After a couple of badly scraped knees and elbows these items give me back the confidence to go a little harder on my mountain bike. I dont notice I am wearing them anymore.

Good Protection
No matter who I quizzed, Troy Lee kept coming up as the pads to buy for technical mountain biking. They are a bit overkill for what I do, but the fit and function is pretty impressive. The weight is incredible. Just unbelievably light. My only complaint is that some of the seams have popped. I was able to stitch up the little pieces that popped, but these need to be made with a more durably thread, or the expanding stitches need to be made larger.I am particularly impressed with how comfy these are when it's hot. I took them out on a really hot day when I first got them, and they were very nice. In terms of sizing, my feeling is go on the smaller size if you can't decide, especially for these knee/shin pads. Mine stay up fine, but I would prefer they were tighter. It pays to go to the Troy Lee site and do some measurements.

Run big but worth it if you get the right size for you
I was very impressed w these pads, got the medium and I'm glad I did because they seemed a little loose even though my legs measured on the high side for the medium fit. They stayed on through a 17 mile ride and they were comfortable and breathable. I maybe adjusted them 1 or 2 times but probably didn't even need to. Haven't taken a fall in them yet but I wore them today while some high socks that tucked right in so my shins have full protection from my pedals. I was genuinely worried about the size so just know that they do run big. Very happy with them so far though. K bye
