Damaged rulers

How to square with this ruler
I brought this product to square up a large 18 1/2 “ disappointing 9 patch. I love how easy it was to square up my large squares.

Ruler had a chip
This rule was needed to square up quilt squares. The rule arrived with a chip and break on one side.

A little difficult to square up when cutting 18.5" squares
This is a quality ruler, but I find it difficult to center my squares when cutting a full 18.5" square. On one edge, 0.5" is shaded, while on the opposite edge, 0.25" is shaded, so it is difficult to see if my borders are equal.
