MPOWERDLuci ExpLolere Solar Light + Speaker, Multi, One Size

After just one use, I already loved the MPowered Luci Explore. I got the light to use while camping but I think I'll end up using it just as much around the house and in the backyard as I do when I travel. I love that it combines so many functions into one device. It is light enough and compact so it will reduce my need to travel with individual speakers, lights, and chargers - that is a huge bonus. All of the different features are efficient but discussed separately below. I found the app that is used to control it very simple and straightforward.The power: When it arrived, it came with a partial charge. I only had the ability to charge it for about an hour before using it. So it still was not fully charged when I used it the first time. I used the speaker for about 5 hours and also the light for an additional 3 hours without it even beginning to run low on a partial charge. I was very happy with how long the partial charge lasted. Another bonus about charging it with a power source is the cord required. It uses a generic USB outlet which is so much easier/universal than the type used for phones, GPS units, cameras, etc. that are constantly changing. Sitting at my desk, I just plugged the light into my phone to give it a charge. My phone battery was at 94% and when I plugged in the Luci, it stated it would take 13 minutes to charge my phone to 100%. So I feel like that’s pretty comparable with plugging my phone into a wall outlet to charge. I also have not attempted to charge the unit using solar power yet, so I apologize I cannot comment on this function.The speaker: The speaker does its job functionally well. It is not the clearest audio when turned up to full volume but it works.The light: The light is probably my favorite feature of the gadget. The light was plenty bright at 50% to luminate a table in the dark for a card game (see pictures). It is great that it could get a lot brighter, but that wasn't necessary and keeping it at 50% prolonged the battery life (bonus!). The colors add great ambiance and are adjusted easily via the app. The colors get super bright. I took several pictures in daylight at my office computer against a white background so you can tell just how bright the colors can get.Overall, I love the Luci Explore and would recommend either for home use (back yard fire and dinner) OR as a travel accessory especially in the context of camping or RV-ing. It's compact, multi-functional, and easy to use. I haven’t needed to test its waterproof capabilities but I’m excited that it boasts this ability. I have little doubt it will do its job well when threatened with water. I would definitely recommend this product to someone searching for a speaker and/or light.

We purchased two of these for our summer camping trip. One was fine and worked as advertised. But when the opportunity finally came to bring out the second one for use things went very differently. First off, it would not hold a charge. After hours of charging, the battery would last only ten minutes or so, and that was just using the light (the only thing that worked on this particular unit). We could never get the blue tooth to connect. And now that we have made this discovery Amazon will no longer do a return. Not happy about THAT at all.

Not a good luci product and will be likely recalled.For starters the product has nothing to attach itself too. For those reviewers and the commercial showing the product being used outside, notice that there is nowhere to place the device. Next, the volume is extremely low (not much more to mention there). Lastly, connectivity with the app to the speaker is horrible and does and doesn’t (starts and stops) working for unforeseen reasons. Rarely does the light or speaker not glitch and is uncontrollable.In short think of this product as a solar charger that powers a non function light/speaker.

We took the Luci Explore with us dry camping into the Bighorn Mountains. With the Explore, we were able to keep the kids both entertained and squash their fears of the dark at night, using it as a night light! My 13yo loved hooking his phone up to the Explore to play his favorite tunes (softly!) while hanging in his hammock. My 9yo got his kicks by changing the color of the LED light about every 10 minutes! Both boys (and I) kept arguing about who had the best "mood" setting created in the Luci app!!What I loved: The fact that we would leave this out on the picnic table while we chilled at the campsite during the afternoon, and it charged without having to hook up to our camper battery, makes it totally worth while! The app is really nice, so I don't have to crawl out of my sleeping bag to turn it off at night. LED light lasts a long time - I think we were able to get about 8 hrs leaving it on overnight on a medium brightness. I would venture it would last all night if it was turned down low. USB charging is pretty quick - you could turn it off at bedtime, plug in a battery bank, and it would be ready to go the next day.A few other thoughts: The speaker gets VERY loud, so be sure to know your Bluetooth volume level before you connect your device (oops, yeah). We would loooooovvvveee to see a hook of some sort to attach it to the tent/hammock/backpack. Would not only make keeping it clean easier, it could help with charging while you are hiking if you could easily strap it on a backpack.Overall, we love it, and we would certainly recommend it to our friends and family!

My girls and I have used our Lucy several times on camping trips (camper and cabin) and at home. We LOVE the capabilities of the light; its ability to change colors, program simple light programs and play music!!! I appreciate how I can charge my devices from its battery stores.I have not noticed the solar charging function extending the battery life of the Lucy, but additionally, we haven’t been out in a super sunny and open spot to maintain a charge. It doesn't seem to work as well in filtered or low light situations.Overall, this is the one piece of equipment the kids ask if I have packed time and again! We would definitely recommend this product!

I've taken this thing everywhere with me for over a year and LOVE IT. I use it for camping trips, point it toward the sun during the day, and it lasts for days. I have dance parties in the shower and love that it's loud enough to cut through the sound of the water and fan and the colors are so fun! I recommend it to everyone!
