Best meter I've ever used including doing ceiling leaks

So I bought 4 or 5 moisture meters. I sent all back but this one. We thought this was the easiest to use right out of the gate. Problem is, what I thought was a fluke, and a onetime thing, has turned into a repetitive issue. I will call the company for support and will change the review if anything changes. But there is a glitch in the software…I think. Because the screen stays on Flir most of the time and doesn’t let you use it because it’s stuck on that screen. The first time this happened either first or second time using, we thought we would just let battery die down as we do the iPhone when it glitches. And then recharge and everything is fixed. It worked the first time. Then didn’t use it for a couple of months and tried again and did the same thing. Third time out of the gate it was partially charged, so I plugged into charger for a few mins and pulled off and it worked for the task in the moment. And then turned it off and then tried using the next day, and the screen is stuck on Flir again. I plugged into charger, and again won’t let me turn on or off. And the screen stayed on Flir for the 2-3 days that it sat on the charger. Pulled it off and the screen is still stuck on tha screen. It won’t let you turn on or off, so I will have to completely drain the battery and try again. This was the most expensive meter I bought and kept it for the quality of it. But if the company doesn’t rectify this issue, that was a mistake! I will update review once I find out how they resolve.

I like it very much. It’s durable. Has a nice sensor for what it’s designed. Easily finds leaks, moisture, insulation voids, etc. Took me five minutes to figure out how to transfer pictures from the camera to my I phone via Bluetooth. Remembered couple of reviews mentioning issue with them not uploading correctly. After playing with the camera for five minutes I realized that pictures transfer just fine. It just takes a minute for them to show up on your phone app. So I just submit pictures I choose, then wait a minute for all pictures to complete transfer and then open the FLIR app on my phone to share them. The camera shows completion of image transfer when it submits it, but the phone still needs a moment to receive it and upload it.

This is great for my restoration company. I am very pleased.

Very expensive for what it does.

I do construction, I bought this thinking that I will be able to find water under roofs and behind walls, But does not detect water only if the water is outside it will detect it, which you can do withe your own eyes.

This is amazing, it helped us detect a slow leak which we were not aware of. Worth the money!!

This thing is absolute garbage. Claims to do it all and yet does it all poorly. The device refused to boot up unless plugged in, even on a full battery. I could immediately unplug the device after boot up and it would still run, which is evidence that it was not a charging issue. The pinless moisture meter would indicate moisture above 50% humidity while the pinned meter would detect 8%. The camera is also rather mediocre. For the asking price, this thing is not worth getting.

Unfortunately, I bought it without even realising it. That’s what you get when you’re not paying attention. Had to send it back, I’d like to have kept it but I don’t have that amount of cash to spare.

après 6 mois d'utilisation assez régulière avecmise à jour (sans problème) du firmware, je reste sur une déception de la mise à jour de l'image qui annonce dans la mise à jour qu'il se recalibre, mais c'est long à se faire. il est annoncé 9 hz mais c'est pas du tout à cette vitesse. la mise àjour du msx est en dessous de ce qu'on peut espérer même si la machine est de bonne facture. j'ai aussi une caméra Flir depuis plusieurs années (TG167) plutôt dédiée tableau électrique qui est plus stable même sans msx.

Ne perder pas votre temps avec la camera thermique, on n'y voie absolument rien ou tres peu, beaucoup de LAG sur la visibilité. Achat d'une Camera Flir E5 PRO avec un autre détecteur d'humidité indépendant. Les résultat sont beaucoup mieux
