This is a top end headlamp with a huge number of great features. The lamp has three power levels, with the highest being 350 Lumens, lighting out to 75m. This is coupled with Sliva's Intelligent Light technology, which gives a long distance spotlight at the same time as a close-in floodlight. One, easy to use with gloved hands, button allows you to switch between the three light levels, a blinking mode, red for night vision, and orange for optimal map reading. The barrel body rotates in its housing so you can position it for optimum illumination. The body comes with an adjustable, elastic headband, lined with an anti-slip material to ensure it stays in place. The Lamp body can also be removed from the headband and attaches to another 2.5cm (1") strap, or Military MOLLE. This version of the lamp takes 3 AAA batteries (included) which have a burn time of 40 hours on the highest setting above 20C, or 35 hours at -5C. The replaceable batteries leave you with more flexibility when you need to make sure the headlamp will work when you need it. There's more yet! The lamp unit is waterporoof to the IPX7 standard and can be fully submerged to 1m for 30 minutes. More than enough to ensure it won't let you down in foul weather. It also comes with a mount for attaching the lamp to a climbing helmet or a wider strap. Finally, it comes with a white drawstring bag for storage. You can hang the bag from the ridge of a tent or hammock and turn on the lamp to make an ambient light source. All of this in a package that weighs only 53g!
