Due to popular demand, ParkZone released a micro version of their best-selling aircraft, the T-28 Trojan! This exciting Ultra Micro Series edition of ParkZoneos wildly popular T-28 Trojan is a must have for any intermediate to experienced pilot. Like the original, it has plenty of performance for sport aerobatics but remains a joy to fly at slower speeds if you want to throttle back and shoot touch and gos. And, like the original, it boasts remarkably scale lines and a great looking U.S. Navy trim scheme. Best of all, this one is small enough to fly in your backyard. This RTF version includes everything needed to get airborne! Comes out of the box completely assembled with Spektrum AR6400 6-Channel DSM2 Receiver/ESC/Servos Unit installed, and only requires a full range Spektrum DSM2 aircraft transmitter (sold separately).

Best Micro Plane Available
The Parkzone T28 Trojan Micro is without question the best micro RC plane available. I have the Parkzone Micro Corsair, Parkzone Micro Mosquito, Parkzone Micro P51D Mustang, Eflite UMX Beast, Eflite UMX Sbach and of course the Parkzone T28 Micro Trojan. There are strengths and weaknesses for each of these planes, but the Trojan overall is the best plane....by far.The Trojan is an extremely stable plane for take-off and landing, which is a huge bonus since those of course are the 2 times when amateur pilots like myself are most likely to do damage to our planes. I have found that the Trojan will almost completely glide into landing with very little throttle. If you are landing into the wind you don't need any throttle at all, just apply fully elevators to keep the nose up and the headwind will provide enough lift for you to softly glide into a landing. In addition to the great stability of this plane, it is very responsive in the air. Rolls and flips are easy and fun. The air speed is about what you'd expect from a PZ Micro. The Stock prop gives it better power than you get from stock gear on the Corsair and Mosquito. It is about on par with the Mustang as far as power and air speed are concerned. The plane is quite durable. I don't crash it nearly as often as I have crashed the other PZ Micros, probably >50 flights and only 2 crashes that were both my fault. One was because I was chasing my kids through the park with the plane (flying about 3 feet above the ground). They think its super fun to run from the plane around the park :). Anyway I was flying full speed very low to the ground and turned to sharply and lost lift and hit the ground. Another time I was flying in huge winds and just lost control. But the damage to the plane was minimal both times. The wings hold up better than the Corsair or Mosquito and are about as tough as the Mustang. The best part about the Trojan design is the nose. The motor is mounted on the UPPER half of the nose. Since the bottom part of the nose usually takes the most damage in a crash I have found that the motor alignment remains intact even when I have really hit the nose hard. I have had to repair, glue and tape the bottom half of the nose twice now, but the repairs are all cosmetic since the motor mount point was untouched.Overall I'd recommend this plane to anyone just getting into the hobby, probably as a second plane. I learned the hard way with RC planes, just jumping right into these planes without ever buying a real trainer. If you are going to go that route, I'd get the Trojan since it'll be the most forgiving. But you will be making some repairs. As for the Eflite micros (beast, sbach) its hard to compare the PZ Micros with the Eflite line since they are just different styles and the eflites are more expensive. They are faster, better at 3D maneuvering and overall great planes to fly. They have the AS3X stabilizing which is great. But overall, I still have more fun with the Trojan since I look like a pro when flying it around. The Trojan just does what I want it to do and makes me look like a better rc pilot than I am.

Excellent Trainer for an intermediate RC pilot
The T-28 is an excellent second RC plane. I wouldn't suggest anybody use this as a 1st step into RC trainer due to the fast reflexes needed along with the added 4th channel (ailerons). A better starter/trainer is the Champ along with a RC simulator like ClearView with a USB RC controller. The T-28 is so highly responsive that going at this as a 1st time flyer will likely get you into trouble fairly quickly, in spite of the ability to fly the T-28 slowly. The ParkZone Ultra Micro T-28 is extremely maneuverable; quick, and a stable flyer in low wind conditions. Anything over 10MPH might be a bit too much. Keep it under 5MPH winds and your're golden. Seems to be able to handle minor crashes fairly well due to its light weight. I really like the removable and steerable nose gear. Lots of fun for the intermediate RC pilot!

Seriously awesome.
Granted, this model should only be purchased by reasonably competent R/C pilots. Not a beginner's model, and not to be flown in your back yard (unless you have a really big one), as picture on the box misleadingly suggests. But, it really does handle quite nicely once you trim it out properly. Very attractive in the air, pretty aerobatic, can be flown in relatively confined areas once you get it dialed in. I fly it on our cul-de-sac when the wind is calm. It's a cheap foam air-frame to be sure but it can take a bit of abuse, guerilla glue and packing tape can keep it flying a long time. And when the airframe is no longer worth repairing, then the fun really begins, because you've still got the famous ParkZone "brick", the compact receiver/servo/electric motor controller with which you can convert just about anything into an RC model. An amazing value for $100.

Wonderful little aircraft.
I have flown tons of rc planes. I wanted to get into the ultra micro craze. I started with the champ to get the feel of the ultra micros. Once I got the feel of them I decided to go with a 4ch ultra micro. The t-28 caught my eye. After the first flight I fell in love with this plane. Speed is very optimal. And the plane is very predictable and handles great! Only complaint on flight is roll rate. Which is a little slow, but it still performs flawlessly. Landing gear is removable, and has a steering nose wheel! In an ultra micro?! Now that's sweet. This is not a beginner ultra micro. Start out with the champ to get the feel of things. Then get this bad boy!

Great plane to learn 4 channel after Champ
I learned to fly RC on my own with the Champ. I hot-glued a few planes from FliteTest.com together and have had a blast flying those "foamies" learning more, but they've been 3 channel only. I bought the full sized T-28 and have flown that a few times, needs a lot of space to land and did so successfully now 5 times or so (whew!) and then recently bought this micro version T-28. This one I can fly in my front yard and land on the driveway. It is quite fast compared to Champ but didn't take too long to get up to speed on it. Now I eagerly await the still after sunset to fly this fun little plane. Any wind and it becomes a challenge but when still, a pleasure to fly! Highly, highly recommended. I pop 4 or 5 batteries in my pocket, grab my Spektrum DX6i and fly 30min any evening I can! Buy it!! :-)
