Vivitar VIV-APM-7001 Action Pro Series All-In-1 Helmet Kit (Silver)

I love this package. I bought it for my Sony Action cam HDR-AS200 since it only came with some lame base mounts. These mounts give you way more options as far as where you wanna put your action cam. It comes with universal mount for Go-Pro or any other regular cam with screw. The only problem I had with the seller is that one of the little parts that connect the base mount with the cam was different than shown in picture and they refused to replace it claiming Amazon provided the picture and not them.

While they are a decent setup.. They are on the lower quality vs professional equipement.. In order for some of the mounts to work I had to file down between the tabs since the plastic molds were offset slightly. .This kept the parts from mating properly in the joint..I only gave 3 stars because on 4 of the mounts there are 3 screws which hold the bottom mount clip to the rest of the mount and when I went to tighten them the screws snapped.. This rendering the mounts loosely mounted with no way to get rid of the wobble..

Using the on my helmet while skiing in Italy showed one flaw. The mount allows the camera to be pitched up and down, however when skiing this can get bumped and then you are shooting into the air, which I did after several wipeouts in the powder. Several attachments come with it so I have to try them, so far I have only used the helmet attachment.

Ordered this for an older Vivitar camera I had. The curved one worked perfect on my son's ski helmet. It stays on and he's able to remove the mount from the base easily when not using. The base piece remains where you stick it. The flat one came off but that was because the surface was not entirely flat and we had already used the curved one.

Well i just looked in my camera bag to see what was left of these. The helmet mount popped off while on the mountain from the cold.The mount with the three pivots broke. They work well under light conditions the camera starts to point up while snowboarding until it came off.

Ordered this for my husband who videos for a local motorcycle TV show. This is the second one we have ordered and they work great! He uses this particular setup on the rear of his bike to film those behind him. He also will use this on the front of his bike to film riders in front of him too. He likes getting all angles.

Mounts are usable, but I've found that a couple of them move around/ aren't tight so the camera can shake some. I kept them and used to mount the remote for my camera...winner.

Great set! Can be used with GoPros or I used with the Nikon Coolpix AW110 Waterproof! Wonderful to find a set that can be interchanged with proprietary cameras! It was a real chore to figure out what would work with my cameras. I ordered the Midland XTC ATV set from Walmart first & it was missing( did not come with) the main/core piece needed to make any of it work.This set will get you going!

I also bought one of those 45 piece multi systems that have all types of mounts and pieces, and these three pieces are MUCH better quality that those.The seller could probably take several much better photos to help show you what you get with these three mounts, including a nice quality orange 'rubber' silicone spacer that goes between the mount and the insert.This stuff is a little heavier than the cheapo stuff because it is a more solid, stronger thicker quality durable plastic. Big difference in quality.

The strap and sticky mounts both work well. The problem is that there is a little bit of play where the mount clip fits into the receiving shoe. Even with the use of the orange gasket, there is a lot of vibration when the camera is mounted on a snowboard helmet.
