Mexican Vanilla Bean Paste - 4oz. - Baking, Cooking, and Desserts by Stavoren Trading Co.

This is my favorite so far of 4 Vanilla pastes I have tried. I got the Mexican because I had never had it & was curious. Next time I’ll try the Madagascar & after that, probably the mix.I was surprised to discover paste is more of a thick syrup & this was true of every one I tried. My 2nd favorite was McCormicks, which was slightly cheaper, but I thought this one was far superior. The other two I was not pleased with at all. I also like that this is much easier to use than scrapping out a bean & I don’t always have the time for that. It definitely had a different scent profile than regular or Madagascar Vanilla paste. I wasn’t so sure upon smelling it, but when I added it to a modified microwave (yes, imagine that & it works! Found at blog Coop Can Cook) praline recipe, it was fabulous . The flavor it lent was delicate & delicious & decidedly present.This one also comes nicely packaged, too & Ill definitely think about giving it as gifts for hard to buy for friends that like to do a little upscale baking.(that is, if I never get around to trying my hand at making home made vanilla extract).I definitely recommend this.

Flavor and quality , worth it - pastry chef

I use this in baking but it really shines in things like cream cheese frosting, shortbread cookies, and sugar cookies.

This stuff is absolutely amazing! I will never use anything else and their customer service is next level!

It's got the texture of glue. The flavor is terrific. Hard to keep jar clean as the gooeyness is like melted cheese? Just wipe the jar after using and it's a good product for the right price. Although it's NOT like scraping the bean pods, the flavor is great.

I received rave reviews for the baked goods I used this in, so I bought a SECOND container within a week of the first arriving.

I thought by using the paste the taste would have very vanilla … and it was not! My liquid vanilla had a stronger taste.
