Someone mentioned adding which hazel to an essential oil. Can someone tell me why?

You only add Witch Hazel if you are making a DIY recipe like a perfume or insect repellent and such. If you are making a roller recipe you only add a carrier oil such as olive oil, grape seed oil, jojoba oil Hope that helps you.

Are the roller balls removable?

They come separate and you put them in, if needed.
