It's a beast
I am almost entirely pleased with this saw. I use it in an Alaskn CHainsaw mill. Things I like. It has power starts up fairly quickly, was relatively inexpensive and does a great job. Best of all it is such a great knock off that Stihl parts are interchangable. Chain adjustment screw stripped after a couple of uses, but I bought another on Amazon cheap and was back in business. Saw had trouble starting after a few uses and I was frustrated, but I diagnosed the problem being electrical. An minor ajustment of gap on magneto and it starts and runs like a champ...I mean Stihl. Parts are fairly cheap plastic but it seems to be holding up. I paired it with a Holzforma 36" bar and chain and I love it. The whole rig is heavey though and loud. Wear ear protection. If you don't have the money for a Stihl and are patient and not a pro. I recommend this product. I've had it for almosta year now and it uslly starts right up, but engine is prone to flooding every now an then so I need to let it sit a while before it will start again. Definitely worth the money.

Very Very impressive
I've heard good things about these. Recently I've had to cut some very large trees, larger then any saw that I have could handle. I've always had stihls and Husqvarna saws. Needing a large saw, but couldn't justify or afford a $1800 Stihl ms660 I took a chance and bout this one.... Let's just say I just ordered a second one, just have. Saw has massive amounts of power and with a 28" bar I got the job. Done with no issues at all outta the saw. Now with a larg r saw I can take on larger tree projects. There are all kinds tios out there on how to improve this saw for very lil $$. Of course the folks that went out and spent big bucks on tops shelf saws hav nothing good to say, but I think it has a lot to do with what they've spent on them things. Like I said I liked this saw so much I ordered a second saw just to have or to resale. Can't go wrong with this saw. Now after a few big tree jobs and Dailey running for weeks. This saw is an official badass.

Good saw for cheap.
Runs good, have cut quite a bit of firewood with it, seems to leak bar oil but not too worried it’s a lot of saw for short money. I’m running a holzforma 25” bar and she screams. Running it 28:1 mix as it says in manual to run 25:1 but that seemed a little too rich.

Buyer beware: Quality Control is not good. Saw came with a chewed up piston and cylinder.
After a hell of a time I was finally able to start the saw only for it to run like crap for 5 seconds and die, could not get it started after that, seemed like it had no compression. Pulled the spark plug and took some pictures with a borescope for everyone to see. It is then on you, the customer, to pay to ship it back to the seller after going through a pain of a process to return it because this product "doesn't qualify for return" so you have to go through the back end and actually contact someone from Amazon to get the ball rolling on the return. Horrible experience with everything except for the Amazon customer service agents, once I figured out how to get them on the phone which is not an easy task they were very helpful and quick with resolution. Horrible experience do not recommend.

Wow! Amazing saw, very powerful and easy to use! Saves $$$
Well! I needed a beefy powerful saw to cut through some walnut & cedar logs I have that were about 28” in diameter. I was using a smaller Stihl saw with a 16” heavy duty blade. While it had the power it took forever to cut and multiple back and forth passes. So the cuts were uneven etc. I couldn’t afford an expensive name brand saw. So I researched these saws that are clones of the $$$$$ saws. Saw most had excellent reviews. I figured from Amazon I was protected if it was crap. I can tell you I’m very surprised. While the case is plastic like a real Stihl. It feels quality built. It’s heavy for sure but it’s big! I paired it with a Oregon 32” bar & skip tooth chain. Made quick clean cut on this walnut log in less than 30 seconds. The hardest part was figuring out how to attach the dogs. But found a youtube video. It started right up on the third pull. Still breaking it in but it works great.

Slices trees and costs!
I felled a 32" maple tree and wanted to slab it as I had seen youtube videos of it. Did plenty of research (youtube) and decided I would either gamble on this clonesaw or make firewood. I have one large tree and this would be it. Not worth spending over $2000 on saw, bar, mill & chain. Many reviews of this saw are positive but some buyers complain about problems starting it, leaking, and horrendous Farmertec customer service. One of the sellers on Amazon buys in bulk and sells domestically so instead of 2 months delivery, it's like 4 days. Also contacted seller about warranty and he said that although Farmertec fulfills the warranty, he had stock to cover any issues in the meantime. Bought the saw, a 42" Oregon bar, Woodland Pro ripping chain, and $69 48" alaskan mill on Amazon.I am halfway through slabbing the maple tree. It is a lot more work than the youtube videos let on. Overall, I give chainsaw slabbing 3 stars. This G660 though, 5 stars! I've never used an 066 and assume it's better but I have now put about 6 tanks through my G660 without any issues at all. Now to figure out where I am going to store these 16 foot long maple slabs.Three minor issues to report though your mileage may vary. One: the small metal flap that protects the bar oil cap was busted off when I unpacked it. It must have been broken in shipping. If I broke it unpacking it then I would have to blame the manufacturer anyways. I decided it didn't matter for me as slabbing would eliminate anything banging the cap and was too excited to stop. Two: the directions to start the chainsaw were a little unclear in my opinion and I think I flooded it for the first hour that I tried to start it. For anyone else who buys this and reads this review...pull the starter handle in full choke until the saw "offers" OR IF THE DECOMPRESSION VALVE POPS. Then switch it to "1", push decompression valve again, and pull handle. I kept it in full choke and pulled and pulled and repressed the valve over and over until I saw a video that said repeatedly pulling the handle in full choke will inevitably flood any saw. When the decompression valve pops out, it offered, basically. Even if you didn't heard it rumble. I've now started it like 30 times and this always works for me. Three: I had to tune the carburetor. This isn't a big deal and you should expect to have to do it. I only add this because if I had not tuned the saw, it wouldn't be able to fully throttle up and the chain would spin at all times, both issues solved with tuning but could lead a buyer to think the saw was faulty.
