The large basket is quite large and very sturdy. I purchased two of the large ones and one of the small ones. I keep the baskets in my kitchen and, in the large one, I put sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, onions, and tomatoes in it. Yes, all at once. It's that large! The second one is for apples and other various fruit. The small basket is where I keep all of the limes and lemons I pick. Everything looks quite pretty in these baskets and you can see if anything is starting to go bad down inside the middle of the pile because it's all open.For those looking to purchase an egg basket instead of a decorative produce basket, the small one is probably just the right size for collecting eggs. Except, I'm a klutz so I haven't tried it. Yet. I'm afraid of breaking the eggs against the wire. But it does hold over 2 dozen limes and lemons quite nicely and those are about the size eggs my girls lay.They are very well made. No pokey ends. Nicely coated as well. I really wish they had a medium one available. That would be a nice addition to my collection.

Good Quality useful for more than a dozen eggs.

I love these baskets and now have both the large and small one. I use the small one to go collect the eggs from my hens and I keep the eggs in the large one as you can see, on my counter, I did put a nesting box pad on the bottom of the basket because I had so many eggs piled in the basket earlier last month I was afraid the bottom ones would crack on the wire from all the weight, but I’ve since decided to freeze some of the eggs as the basket fills up.

We are loving this egg basket on the farm! Works for gathering but is also a stylish cabinet top bowl to store and display our beautiful eggs.
