Good pedal - has hidden potential.
Purchased to use in a hack - these SPD compatible pedal bodies fit on favarro Assioma pedal axles. What does that mean?!Well - my Lycra clad friend it means YOU CAN BUILD A PAIR OF SPD MOUNTAIN COMPATIBLE PEDALS WITH A POWER METER IN THEM!Nifty, Right? You pull the keo compatible road pedal bodies off the assioma axles and put the pedal bodies from this pedal on them - a drop of blue loctite on the axle nut and there you go - an inexpensive but functional power meter pedal for your cyclocross, gravel, or mountain bike that will allow you to run two bolt SPD mountain cleats and the shoes that go with them. But why do I need this?!Funny you should ask...see, unlike a crank arm, hub, spindle, or chainset spider power meter, having a power meter pedals allows you to switch the power meter between your bikes... and wear shoes you can actually walk in if you have to, or safely use off road. so instead of spending 500 dollars or more for each bike to have a power meter on it - you just swap the pedals! I switch the pedals between my two mountain bikes and my cyclocross bike all the time - and maintain that sweet, sweet data logging that we all geek out on.Anyway - as pedal they work well - surprisingly light, pretty much on par with the shimano XT mountain pedal. BUT, BECAUSE OF A CREATIVE HACK, MINE HAVE A POWER METER IN THEM.Which makes them friggin awesome in my book. The hack is not supported by either manufacturer, you have been warned. There is a tutorial on the web that will walk you through the body swap.

Light and easy to clip in
I bought for my road bike so I could use same Shimano SPD cleats as my gravel bike. The Xpedo pedals are the easiest pedals to get in I’ve ridden and they look great!

Won't buy another pair of shimano's, these are much lighter.
They came in 2 gr less than quoted weight, and they look great. I used my shimano cleats that were already on my shoes and they work fine.

Not as good as advertised.
I picked up a set of these for cyclocross in the Pacific Northwest. They where advertised as having an open design with good mud shedding abilities. I have found this not to be the case. After 2/3 of a very muddy season they are not nearly as good as my old Time ATAC pedals. They are more difficult to clip in to whether wet or dry. In the mud they often feel clipped in but then release suddenly. Even with the spring tension turned 3/4 of the way up this was still a problem. I'm sure these pedals would be fine in dry conditions, but that is not what they are advertised for.
