I knocked this one star because you can only it appears that you can only have two lamps connected to Wi-Fi at any one time.I have four of these lamps in my house on two different levels. the lamps closest to my phone are the ones that will connect to the app. When I want to control the other two lamps, I have to wave my phone close to them and those will then connect the app but the other two lamps will disconnect.This makes automation with multiple lamps, virtually impossible, and the biggest issue. The manufacturer is aware, in the supporting material, they make the claim that 2.4 G Wi-Fi band cannot have as many connected devices which is highly incorrect, it is a limitations of these lamps.

Build quality is 6 out of 10, yeah sure its beefy and the base has a nice weight to it but the swivel head at the top is by far the worst. Jams, or loosens and there is no way to tighten it. My biggest gripe with this product is the horrible connectivity. The 2.5ghz path is not good for this lamp and getting it to connect to the wi-fi is about as archaic as 1999. The lamp hardly ever stays connected, in fact I would say about 98% of the time you have to sit and wait for the app to find the lamp and then when it does, the connection fails mid swipe trying to configure the dang thing. When it works, it works...not very bright but bright enough for my dark man cave/theater. Has cool party modes too, but again, if the app works. The manual control on the neck is nice and responsive but you only have so many manual options without using the app.At the end of the day for the price you can definitely find better working products out there however as it stands I give this product a 3 out of 5. If you need a light, don't mind turning it on at the neck of the device (manually, no app), and are fine with the standard RGB colors then sure it works for that. If you want complete control and reliability with a bright LED COB then walk away now.

Floor lamps that reflect the light off your ceiling is the perfect design for most leisurely activities. The light source to our eyes is more natural as the light is effectively coming from overhead. In turn this reduces shadows created by furniture and sets a more even light in the room compared to a typical lamp. The pinpoint effect of light created by a standard lamp and bulb is minimalized as your entire ceiling effectively becomes a low wattage bulb. One last benefit, although not to be understated, is there is never a bright source of light in your range of vision when this lamp is properly adjusted like there is with a normal lamp, as this lamp’s light is all aimed upward.One caveat to this style of lamp is you do need a reflective ceiling for it to be effective. I see reviews stating you cannot read by this lamp or that it is not bright. This lamp mimics some car headlights in lumens, it is very bright on full power. If your ceiling is not reflective, you will lose a lot of this lamp’s benefit. I have painted most of the ceilings in my house semi-gloss white and this lamp works amazing. However, one room is still flat white and the light throw is still very good. The room with grey ceilings, where I took the pictures, the throw of light is approximately halved. I have low 8ft ceilings which is ideal, a vaulted ceiling will also cause issues throwing light across the entire room. Having the right color and design of ceiling is required for this style of lamp to be effective and I don’t see anyone else mentioning that yet.I have used the old style halogen floor lamps for years until the bulb finally burned out, and I will make a direct comparison to the old style floor lamps for those that may be in a similar situation. First, this lamp is cool to the touch. The halogen lamps would get so hot they would cause dust to smoke, and if your child tossed a toy up there in a fun game of “basketball”, well….you would find out its flammability rating quickly. That is a non-issue here, and of course the electricity usage is magnitudes lower as well. Light output is not lower. This lamp is every bit as bright. It is the ideal replacement for the old halogen style with no negatives.The lamp itself is very well designed. I assembled it and had it on before I ever read the instructions. The lamp works just fine without ever connecting it to your phone/wifi and is very suitable for older folks or just anyone that doesn’t buy into the smart home craze. Top button is power, bottom button changes colors and brightness. Very easy and intuitive to use. The soft white, what most of us will use, is a true soft white and perfect. The blue light on a low brightness is also quite useful for those that use blue light around bedtime.In conclusion, this lamp throws light every bit as good as my old halogen floor lamp without the fire hazard and the electric savings alone will likely offset the cost in upgrading over time. The output is high enough to light up my entire living room yet will adjust down to mood lighting levels. It is super easy to put together and use, and connecting to Alexa provides the convenience of a new-age clapper. Manufactured using quality materials, very easy to assemble. The brightest is not as strong as expected. Remote control using phone slightly difficult to set up.

I bought this lamp because my son wanted one he could control with his phone. Although It took him a while to set it up, once he finally did, he was very pleased. The lamp is unobtrusive and is very bright when turned up high. It also offers many different colors and settings. I like it because I don't need his phone to turn it on and off and it lights up his entire room.

I love these lamps. I now have 5, all connected into the Alexa network. They are easy to connect into your home network using the Smart Life app and from there, to Alexa. The brightness of the lamps is fantastic, especially when you place them in a corner and angle towards the walls. I like the ability to dim and change the light colors with a simply command to Alexa, or through using the Alexa or Smart Life apps.The only con I would mention is the range on picking up the Wi-Fi network is not as good as say, the Alexa plugs. Because of the location of my router, 2 of the lamps would not see the network. Our TV, cell phones and other devices pick up the Wi-Fi just fine in that room, but the lamps would not. I ended up purchasing a Wi-Fi extender, which did the trick.

You can get something much better that is actually 'Smart' for $70. You can only connect to one wifi type, depending on what color you choose it sets off the most annoying frequency noise that can not be silence and it will randomly turn itself onto strobe light mode with no reason at all. After the first 6-8 months of use more and more problems would occur, such as the app no longer connecting to the light itself nor the wifi (it is not an internet provider issue, trust me i checked lol).Honestly, just don't buy it.

Only gave it 3 stars because I felt ripped off. I was told this light does not shine out the bottom but it does.I do still love it, I bought 2 more from another vendor. Others are selling the same light for cheaper.

I absolutely love this lamp!Easy to assemble, perfect brightness level, love the colors, and very simple and minimalistic which fits my simple looking apartment. I am obsessed with it!

When moving the lamp the switch on the bar is too sensitive. I use it for my bedroom, otherwise it’s a pretty good lamp.
