Great monitor for the money
Overall this is an excellent little monitor the size of the screen really helps to nail focus. The product does feel a little bit on the cheap side but the functionality definitely makes this a good product.

Dead pixels
Monitor developed dead pixels very quickly. Inputs are unreliable and often won’t recognise sources. Not great QC or customer service at all.

At last a screen I can see in the sun, but a shame about the stuck pixels
My main reason for buying this was to be able to be able to view the screen in daylight to assist with focussing. I’d seen good reviews of the FW279 and this looks like an upgraded version with touchscreen controls and ambient light sensor. On the evening that I received the display I decided to compare the brightness of the screen with other screens I have, the MacBook Pro 13” Retina (late 2013 model) and Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus. The MacBook screen supposedly has a brightness of 320 nits and the Galaxy Note 10 Plus has 686 nits.So how did the LUT7 compare? Well seeing as it’s rated as 2200 nits you would expect it be considerably brighter and it was. I wasn’t sure if it would be bright enough to see in direct sunlight though until the next day when I took it out in bright sunshine connected to my SLR and I really could see the screen without any problem at all! It was amazing. I’ve attached a photo of these screens in direct sunlight, hopefully this shows you how the LUT7 is usable in these conditions. I’ve also put a review video on youtube with a few more tests. My only complaint is that there are two stuck pixels on the screen that are visible when dark, this is a real shame as I hate seeing any dead/stuck pixels. Especially on a brand new screen, therefore I can't give this 5 stars.Other thoughts:* The pinch to zoom works well on a 1080p source.* There are mounting points on both sides and bottom.* With a 4k source connected the pinch to zoom didn’t appear to zoom in on the detail of the 4k image. I thought when it would get close to the 1:1 pixel mapping to the native 1080p display it would be very clear but that didn’t appear to be the case.* It does get rather hot.* The red LED appears to be on all the time when connected to a battery, hence it must be draining it slowly.

Good but well over rated screen brightness
Main reason I bought this screen as it claims to have 2200 nits screen ..... well , far from it . I have SMALL pro monitor that claims to have 1200 nits screen and have to say both compares the same in with same video feed in same position etc. I have as well DJI Crystal Sky ultra bright monitor that claims to have 2000 nits screen and it blows away with brightness this monitor , as could not use DJI as monitor from camera , used video to compare . Please ignore lies that states its 2200 , its not , not even close , divide by 2 . Build quality very average and feels very cheap . Bizarre mounting arm placement where if fitted on left side of monitor , will affect your HDMI ports as no way then to use them unless will use HDMI ribbon cables as normal cables will get in arms way . Do not leave batteries in as will drain them even if monitor is off !!! Have to say that this monitor was build without production plan and things been added on the go by different teams .However despite many bad things this monitor has few good features like built in LUTS that works well ( despite terrible menus ) and touch screen works well as well . In general screen brightness and resolution good enough for outdoor use but not sure if overstatements worth the money and generally with so many issues and unfinished touches would put this monitor in very average position taking in account how much it cost as you need to buy batteries separately as well .

Does what it’s supposed to.
The screen is super bright..the overall feel of the product doesn’t feel premium and that’s to be expected..but it performs excellently and is fit for purpose.

BoN moniteur

Perfetto per me
