Perfect OEM replacement
Easy OEM fix for failed closer. The original that was one of a pair on our heavy glass door failed. I ordered this. It arrived in a day or two. Total time to replace the failed part was maybe two minutes. Works great out of the box. Would buy again.

I bought this product to replace my old unit because it's starting to make noise when it's closing. I think it's out of lubricant but it was time to change and have a fresh looking one in it's place anyways. I got this because the old one is from same company and it didn't give me any issue and lasted very long. This unit I believe they over painted the rod that goes into the unit and it's a little difficult inserting the stopper. I have to shave the paint off the rod in order to add in the stopper but that doesn't affect the unit from it's performance once the stopper is in. Installation was easy you just replace the unit or installing a brand new one the package came with everything you need except a screw driver for you to install it with. I could have gone for a more expensive model with one hand stopper ans such but no need since I don't usually prop my screen door open all the time and this work perfectly. I like it's soft closing features and doesnt slam the door, If your door slams you install it in the wrong slot. There are two holes at the end of the unit, if your door is glass use the outer most hole, if it's screen use the inside hole, also adjust the vent so that the door close faster or slowly. I got this unit at a discount in return for my honest and unbiased review.

Good quality but door still slams.
Quality product. However, the reason I purchased this is because the description states that it prevents the door from slamming. My door still slams. It has "snap action closing". Maybe my screen door is too light for this product.
