Ease of installation
This has got to be the easiest trailer hitch to install. I have installed several over my lifetime and this was by far the easiest. I guess that is because of the manufacturers design of the truck causing Curt to design this hitch the way they did. The hardest part was getting my torque wrench onto the two bolts directly inline with the bumper. But, if you have the right tools, and if you a torque wrench you probably do, then you can get to them; this is not Curt's fault. I did not have to remove my spare tire because the bolt holes in the frame where the hitch mounts are not close to the tire. I was looking for a hitch with a "true" V5 rating based on capacities. Even though it has a V4 rating on the website, mine came in with a V5 rating. There are a couple of hitch manufacturers that put a V5 rating on their hitch, but watch for the tongue, weight distribution, and overall load capacities. I believe this hitch, or the website, is mislabeled because all V5 rated hitches I have installed were either 10,000 or 12,000 pound ratings. In the picture, you will see my hitch has a V5 rating with 10,000 lbs gross trailer weight, 12,000 lbs weight distribution, and 1,200 lbs weight distribution tongue weight. Maybe Curt wants to give the owner the piece of mind of a V5 rating on a V4 hitch listing, I don't know.

6 Bolts, 20min instal, no regrets
This is a serious tow package for so much less than a local shop or store will sell/install. I put this on my 2WD F-150 and used a bucket to hold it up to the back while i put the 6 bolts in. Perfect, snug fit for the truck and i was done in 20min. I did have to borrow some bigger end wrenches to get to the two center nuts/bolts. I threw some thread locker on them so i don't have to worry about them backing out. Happy Towing!

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!
I have a 2007 Ford F-150, which had a class 3 aftermarket previous. I purchased a 6000 lb travel trailer and was right on the edje of what this hitch could pull. Read lots of reviews; checked lots of pricing and Amazon came in by far the lowest. This Curt class 4 was an absolute perfect fit. Install was about an hour, which included removal of the old hitch. Some reviews said they had to play around with alignment; maybe I just got lucky. Raised the hitch into place and all six mounts aligned perfectly. The finish was flawless on this hitch, looks terrific. Now I can rest at ease with a 10 k hitch and a 1k tounge weight. Some reviews said they didn't have to lower the spare; how they did this I will never know. Spare has to be removed. Super pleased!

Good solid hitch receiver
I ordered this for one of my son's work trucks (2006 Ford F-150), which did not have a full receiver from the factory and only had a ball mount located in the step portion of the rear bumper. The Curt class IV receiver hitch is very beefy and was true to advertising in that it was a "no drill" install. We did have to loosen the rear bumper attachment bolts during installation, to allow the assembly to pivot into alignment, but this was mentioned in the instructions as a possible requirement. Quality of construction, Amazon "Prime" price and delivery, and ease of installation met all of my hopes and expectations. I would purchase this product again, if needed, and would have no reservation of recommending it to others.

Fantastic high-quality hitch
Awesome hitch. Bought to replace a 10 year old class 3 Draw Tite (also an awesome hitch). This thing is heavy, robust, easy to install, and American made, plus a good price. What's not to love?

Easy to instal
It took me forever to replace the rusted out one I had on, the truck came from up north so everything was rusted in place. But once that was done, putting on this new one was very easy. All the holes are in the right place, everything pretty much lined up.

DOES NOT FIT WITH AFTERMARKET BUMPER
If you have an aftermarket rear bumper this WILL NOT WORK. Something that should have been in the details before wasting money and time

Standard Class 4 Receiver Hitch
I ordered this for an old man to install on the back of his old F150. Anyways, he was impressed with how easy it was to install, plus it is made out of as heavy material as any other receiver hitch. Neither of us have any issues with this hitch and can recommend it for the loads itโs rated to.
