I bought several of these to decorate the ceiling of our family room, and it looks spectacular. They're bright enough to notice in a fully-lit room, and the effect is enchanting, like stars. When we want a more relaxed ambiance, we turn off the overhead lights and these light the room well enough for a chill party atmosphere. Well enough, in fact, to play cards.Obviously, that depends on the density in which you hang them. Our room is about 950 square feet, and I used 9 of these 50 meter strands.The best part is that we have them all working off one remote control and only two outlets. While you can't daisy chain these end-to-end, you can use a one-to-many AV splitter to connect many strands to one plug. Each strand ends with a 2.1mm female jack that attaches to a male 12V AC adapter plug. To cover our room's ceiling, we split ours into 2 groups, one with 4 and one with 5. I bought two "Female 2.1mm Jack to 8 Male 2.1mm Plugs CCTV Power Y Adapter" for a couple of dollars each - any 2.1mm female jack to multiple 2.1mm male plugs should work. So, multiple strands into the splitter, then the splitter into one of the 12V AC adapter plugs.We ran two outlets up above our drop ceiling, each in the center of one half of the room so that we could plug in one set of lights. Then they could be hung radiating out from the center. It took a little thought to decide on a pattern that would work well, but it wasn't hard. If we didn't have the ability to add outlets like this, it would have taken a bit more planning and we would have had to split the strands into more groups to start them off at the walls.To hang them from the ceiling, we used Command Strip Decorating Clips (17026CLR-40ES), which worked well. These lights are very light, so they didn't tax the clips, which can't really hold much weight. At each clip, I wound the copper wire around the hook. After several months, they're still holding well. I've only had to replace a few that came unstuck.As for the remote control, some of this manufacturer's sets are sold with a remote control, which has a receiver that plugs in between the 12V AC adapter plug and the strand (again, via those 2.1mm jacks). Since I wasn't sure if one remote would control two receivers, I bought two of our sets with a remote and the other seven without. I stuck with the same manufacturer and color (warm white) to get the best match in appearance, and I had no issues whatsoever. It turns out that one remote will control both sets (even hidden above our drop ceiling), though I have to be sure to point carefully at both at the same time or I can end up with the sets out of sync. It's not hard to do.As for working with the lights - I love it. The copper wire is easy to bend & shape as I like. I was careful with them, as they seem delicate, but we had no issues. There was one section of one of the strands that was not lit, but rather than send them back for a replacement we fixed it ourselves with a solder iron. I love that these are also coated to be weather proof & no concern of shocks. Though ours are inside, I would have been uncomfortable with them if they weren't.

I was very skeptical to the brightness and longevity of these lights when I first got them since they are quite small and only mounted on a trio of copper wires. Our common area does not have any lights. We put these up around the perimeter of the room by the ceiling. These lights bring the room to a nice, dim coziness, and provide enough brightness to comfortably work under. Reading is not suggested, but it's definitely doable. When we turn them off for bed, we're always, always shocked at how dark the room becomes. We've been using the lights for maybe 4-6 hours every night since mid-October and they're still as bright as they were when we first plugged them in. What's even more shocking is that they do not heat up at all, not even after 6 hours of straight use. They're so dainty that we put them up with strips of simple scotch tape and they haven't fallen yet. During the day when they're not on, they're almost invisible. Would definitely recommend to others and buy again.

I love these lights, but I keep burning out the AC adapter. It is my fault, as you mention the lights are waterproof but the adapter is not. ( I know this as i tried the adapter from a new set of lights with the old lights, and the old lights worked with the new adapter.) I thought I had the adapter covered well enough, but for the second time, I fried the adapter.I am looking to just buy the adapter as the lights are still ok. Can you clarify the size of the connector--is it 5.5mm outside x 2.1mm inside?Do you have a source to buy just the adapter or a waterproof adapter that might work with your lights? I bought the 66ft strand.Thanks for any tips. Maureen

The adapter literally feel from the copper wire and the lights don’t work at all. Of course this happened after I fully installed them. Crap quality, I would look else where.

The lights look good and quality appears good. The lights were brighter than I expected which is great. I had a problem with the lights a few days after setting them up but the seller went out of their way to correct the problem right away.

These lights are a wonderfully subtle way to spruce up my bedroom. They're bright enough that I often leave them on as my only light source in the evenings, and would say it's enough light to read by. The light is warm, and I've had no problems with any wiring or parts.I hang these with Command light hooks (small, clear ones) and they're basically invisible. The strands are easy to decorate using small plastic laundry clips and decorations of your choice. I have paper cranes clipped every so often to mine, and they look very nice!

These lights are the perfect finish to my screen porch makeover. I absolutely love them. My husband helped me hang them after we removed some old rope lighting that had seen better days. I was worried that these might not be bright enough but they are perfect. I can't speak on their longevity but I assume there won't be a problem with them. We are very pleased with them.

I have a bought these lights a few times and never had an issue... unfortunately I found you really have to be careful .. I undid a loop and caused the wire to snap... the issue with trying to get it to reconnect is the wires are coated … other than that they work great .. nice and bright... I will buy more when I need them..

A third of these do not work. We tested them before we wasted our time installing them but the section that doesn't work is near the end and couldn't be seen when the lights were rolled up. Very disappointed. My husband was grumpy putting them up as we are experiencing a heat wave, now we have yo take them all down...not happy.UPDATE: I reached out to the seller and they helped me out. The new lights work great and look beautiful!

These lights were great! I wanted these cute fairy lights for my sunroom in my house. These lights were very simple, and give off a nice dim warm glow. I was surprised at how long they were, it was amazing and it let me cover the entire ceiling with these lights. I liked these lights so much I bought a second pair to put around my living room ceiling borders. 10/10 would recommend. Good price/quality.

Revised: been up for a few months in a tree outside in frigid cold (-20c) and still work fine. Better than first impression. Revised to 5 star.Old review: These lights look nice but seem somewhat fragile. We installed on outside tree. The wires are light gauge and I was afraid of damaging during install or in any wind conditions. Would be ideal for inside in my opinion.
