ColumbiaVitesse OutDry, Men's Multi-Sport Shoes

Out of the box the Columbia Men's Vitesse Outdry Multi-Sport Shoe fitted perfectly and felt really comfortable. For me the 9.5 UK size feels like a regular width shoe, I find some sports and walking shoes narrow but the Columbia Vitesse Outdry had plenty of room not to feel tight when deep into a walk.On a 10 mile urban walk (couldn't get to the countryside due to lockdown) with a heavy backpack the shoes felt very comfortable and I didn't really think about my feet which is a good sign. On a short hill walk in the damp and boggy Campsie Fells in Scotland the shoes performed well with the waterproofing keeping my feet warm and dry, also plenty of low profile grip on these shoes.As normal for me I upgraded the insoles to Superfeet Trailblazer E (42-44 EU) with just a couple of mm to trim off the toe area for the perfect fit.All in all a great walking shoe for the price (£69.49 July, 2020).

Might be a bit narrow for some of y'all but for me it just needed wearing in. I like the base of the shoe, it seems to give me just the right amount of support. Not sure about the water proof-ness because I haven't actually worn them in heavy rain yet. All in all I'd give them a 7/10. Good for walking. I like the shape of them. They add a nice spring to my step.

Didn't take too long to break in, and I wore them for a 100k overnight trail, and though I did need to tape my feet up, I didn't get any serious blisters, which I was very surprised about!They clean off easily after getting muddy, are reasonably water-proof in damp grass, but water will seep through if submerged for any period of time. Given their water resistance, I was impressed about how breathable they were.I'm usually a UK 5.5, with narrow feet. But size 6, with medium-thick socks was a perfect fit.

These have lasted a relatively long time whilst usable but not waterproof for long at all. I should have known from the other reviews they weren't for me. I wear shoes out really quickly so with the flaws in material I've put holes in them long before I've gone through the rubber. Still ~£40 for 8 months worth of use is better value than I normally get at £5 a month.

So I am leaving a review after a year of use. These are best looking sneakers I bought in a while. I been using them for more than a year now in every occasion. They are water proof for sure but after an year of wear out the waterproof capability is slowly vanishing. I think it’s far after the use. I would totally recommend this product and would order a new pair actually.

Overall, this show is a great wet weather solution for an active life. However, it has a number of small, niggly (yet eminently fixable, were Columbia to take some time) issues:1. The neck of the shoe flexes as the toe leaves the ground, meaning that any small stones are easily flicked into the footbed. It’s a deeply annoying issue.2. Due to the fabric mesh/rubber-coated outer, she shoe will become easily stained. Removing muddy stains from uncoated fabric is relatively straightforward, but removing said stains from the fabric covered by the rubber adornments is impossible.

Really comfy and happy to begin with. Fabric on outside of shoe is ripping with only low to moderate use and not on tricky terrains.

I really like these. Comfortable and make walking distances easier for me who dislikes walkingHaven’t used them in the rain so can’t comment on the waterproofing
