OXO Good Grips Silicone Slotted Spoon

After purchasing some very expensive nonstick cookware I needed a tool to help flip an omelet after the eggs cooked and firmed up a bit. This tool is just the right size and with practice about tilting the pan and using this tool I can now make perfect omelets. The tool is firm with a flexible edge and there is nothing to harm the nonstick pan surface. It has a hole in the handle so it hangs nicely with other kitchen tools and it cleans up nicely after use. I recommend this one if you love cooking.

I bought this after experiencing the difficulty of cleaning cooked eggs off a metal slotted turner. I like scrambled eggs and omelets, so I had to find a better solution. This has held up surprisingly well and is super easy to clean. Eggs don't stick to it at all. After a long-time, still looks like new. I also like that it is pretty light-weight. We often reach for this instead of metal utensils. It gets almost daily use. Kudos to Oxo for another great product!

I am a fan of OXO good grip products. Though I don't have arthritis (which their products are all designed for), I find that they have truly done their homework in design and product quality.I had a cheaper spatula before, and it was in two parts. It always ended up leaking water after being washed.I like the fact that this spatula is one solid piece so that cleaning is easy, and there is never any food or water trapped in parts. Since it's silicone, it can withstand high heat and is virtually non-stick.I highly recommend this spatula as a valuable addition to any kitchen.

This is a good set of utensils, not great which is why I give it 4 stars. It covers the basics of what you need for most kitchens. The silcone covering is really good but it gets water spots in my dishwasher and it stains easily with anything with tomato in it (spaghetti sauce, tomato soup). Most of my silcone items have gotten stained like this over time so I don't think it is anything particularly wrong with this brand, just a function of silcone. This biggest issue I have is that silcone is flexible and it is hard to make it sturdy. They did a decent job with the spoon and scoop but the spatula is really still too flexible. It is hard to use it especially for ground beef because you can't get enough strength to separate chunks of the meat. I bought these to replace some older plastic utensils but what I have found is that I ended up keeping the plastic ones for "staining" foods and cooking ground beef when what I really wanted to do was get rid of those. So now I have two sets of utensils which kind of defeats the purpose of buying the new ones.

This spoon works perfectly with our non stick pots and pans. We use it every day. It has a good feel to it.

I bought a set of non-stick ceramic skillets that are very easy to scratch … I think even a kitchen sponge is potentially liable to damage the surface. I needed a silicon slotted spoon to harvest my poached eggs from the non-stick skillet, and this spoon is PERFECT. It does seem that cleaning this spoon from clinging egg white is more difficult that I anticipated, which is why I gave only four stars on ease of cleaning.

I was looking for a silicon spatula and this one works well so far. Not too flexible. Easy to use and cleans well.

This silicone spatula is the perfect mate for my T-fal fry pan. It withstands heat and doesn't stick on to your food (or vice versa, lol). Washes well with warm soap water!

Die Schaufel ist angenehm zu halten und liegt gut in der Hand. Sie gleitet gut in der Pfanne und funktioniert dort sauber wie ein Spatel. Und die Schaufel ist stabil genug, um direkt aus der Pfanne heraus zu schöpfen. Zudem hat sie in meinen Augen eine gute Grösse.Ich bin sehr zufrieden damit und bin froh, habe ich gleich zwei davon bestellt.

Der Schöpflöffel hat eine gute Grösse wie ich finde und liegt gut in der Hand. Einziger Nachteil: die Pfanne lässt sich nicht soo gut damit ausputzen. Man muss immer noch einen Spatel zur Hand nehmen.Aber das ist zu verschmerzen, weil es mit einem Stahllöfell auch nicht anders wäre.
