Good Psychological Thriller
I like this thriller. I like movies with story lines like this one, which mess with our sense of the passage of time (days being all mixed up leading up to the "climax").Unfortunately however, as much as I like the story as it leads up to the climax/resolution, I do not like the ending.--------- SPOILER ALERT --------I suppose it could be rationalized that the ending is justified due to the fact that her husband had been cheating on her. Yes, I can accept this. But wasn't he in the process of calling off the affair right before his unfortunate demise? The ending doesn't make sense to me in this regard. And, on another note, I have absolutely no interest or knowledge regarding Jung or his ideas. Also I definitely do not believe in reincarnation. So those rationalizations do me no good.I just like a good psychological thriller. I don't need the storyline to be rationalized or explained away like that. I just enjoy the story itself. Also Sandra Bullock can't be beat. The best actress of our modern day. This is certainly not her best performance, but it doesn't matter. Pretty much anything that she is in is better due to her mere presence. But the whole moving back and forth through time is what makes this Psychological Thriller definitely well worth your time and consideration, especially if you are a fan of such things like these in movies. It is what makes this movie a great thrill ride in my opinion. You never know what is going to happen next. It leaves you on the edge of your seat. I love it because of this. In this case I definitely would NOT say that the end justifies the means, but rather on the contrary. The MEANS justfify the end.

This movie is very confusing with all the flashbacks and back and forth about Jim's death...
I'm giving this movie three stars only because Sandra Bullock is a very good actress. One day she thinks she dreams her husband Jim has died in a car accident and the next day when she wakes up, he's still alive. The movie goes back and forth like this with the main characters in her life [her best friend, her mother] moving in and out of her life like shadows. It seems like the only constant thing is her love of her two children and her love for her husband. I came to the conclusion that she has a mental health problem [like bipolar disorder] that she was previously treated for and it's now flaring up. I don't know what to make of Dr. Roth, as he only appears several times, and he gives her lithium which she decides not to take, and she thinks she is being committed to a psych ward for evaluation for her erratic behavior that is endangering her children. She basically has nobody to confide in, as she is unable to share what she thinks is happening to her with her best friend, and she and her mother don't seem to have a close relationship at all and she doesn't confide in her mother either. The only person she confides in is Dr. Roth, and she won't take the pills he prescribed, so that is a failed attempt at clarity. When Jim is in the picture [seems like every other day], she thinks he may be having an affair and she confronts Jim's potential lover and learns he was thinking about being unfaithful. SB makes several attempts to learn what is happening by creating a timeline and then tries to prevent Jim's death. She also learns that Jim has visited his insurance agent and she and the girls are set up so they will be okay. [Jim may have had a premonition of his own death?]. The couple has one final evening together where there is a tender love scene and then comes the day he is supposed to leave on his trip. She tried to have him turn around, but in her eagerness to prevent his death, it causes the very accident she is trying to prevent. I can't say I enjoyed this movie very much because I'm not a big fan of too many flashbacks; nor was I a big fan of Groundhog Day where the same day keeps repeating over and over. The ending offers some relief from the stress, tension, and overall heaviness of the movie, but there are far too many loose threads for me to consider it a satisfying movie. I will read all the reviews next time I want a little more info about a movie.

Great movie
If you like "who dunit" movies, you should love this one. It keeps you "off balance" right up to the end. That's all I'll say about it so I don't spoil it for you. A must see movie.

Another great movie with Sandra Bullock.
This movie keeps you on the edge of your chair as it flips back and forth between Sandra's premonitions/dreams and real life. For a while, she thought she was losing her mind. After consulting a priest about her premonitions, she tries to change what she has been told is her destiny.I won't tell you what happens, but this movie does make you wonder if your fate is predestined. You may be able to change how things happen, but the end result will be the same. A scary thought to say the least.

Extremely unpleasant
Nobody should have to watch this unpleasant film. This film is unnecessary; it doesn't make sense and the end is shockingly awful. It's not even going to the charity shop, it's going straight in the bin so no-one else watches it unwittingly! Sandra Bullock has made some excellent films and some strange films, but this is just plain nasty. It isn't entertainment whichever way you look at it. I would give it minus stars if that were possible.

“I don’t know how to explain it?” [Linda]
In this 2007 psychological thriller housewife Linda [Sandra Bullock] awakes to a typical day but is later informed that her work away husband died in a car accident. The following day she awakes to find her husband alive and getting her two daughters ready for school. The next day is the day of the funeral…..is Linda going mad or is there a sinister plot going on around her?The film is well acted and Sandra Bullock plays her role brilliantly and whilst it has a few dramatic moments it’s not a scary movie as such, rather it’s a ‘can you avoid death?’ scenario. It has numerous flashbacks in a mix of ‘Groundhog Day’ meets ‘Jumper’ manner and as Linda jumps back and forth in time, the days get so mixed up it can be difficult to follow, but stick with it as there are quite a few twists and blind alleys as Linda tries to figure it all out and keep hubby alive. The single disc has 5.1 or 2.0 audio, subtitles, future releases, commentaries , blooper reel and a few other extras. It’s a good thriller with a good end twist and with no swearing, no gratuitous sex or nudity, it’s all-in-all a good ***** family movie.

This film is another supernatural style film.
This film follows the Sandra bullock character ,and her husband played by the Nip/Tuck actor. At the time it was interesting playing a different role. This film has probably dated quite a fair bit since it's release in the early 2000s.The Sandra Bullock character has some sort of major accident in this film. It does feature some special effects.

Lovely film for a dull wet day
A nice wet weekend film that has a quite confusing ending, that i feel still like i missed something? This was filmed around the time of Speed a more popular film, but I much prefer Premonition to Speed.Good price and I will watch it again and again.
