Yum don’t let other reviews full u.
DONT LET OTHER REVIEWS FULL YOU. THESE ARE THE MEXICAN KIND THAT U EAT ALONF OR IN LEMON, LIME, oranges or just fruit or tostilocos. This is not the Asian one that are meaty and sweet or mildly spicy. There are the dried up ones in a lot of Latin childhoods.Perfect snack I get one or two and just put them in my mouth and let them soak up and release the chmoy salty flavor. Or put them inside 1/2 an orange or lemon/lime. Even on drinks or cocktail de Camarón. Even when I make tostilocos or pina or sandia loca perfect for those Mexican treats.

Love it!
I grew up eating salted plums, so I figured I'd try this. These things are delicious! Of course they're salty - no complaints here - I eat them as is. There's a little kick from there spices, but not as spicy as anticipated. If jalapenos are too spicy for you then don't get this kind. It's about as spicy as a jalapeno, maybe a tad milder. Shipped on time, 2 days, and the bag itself wasn't damaged. These are expensive, only downside for me. I won't be getting these again unless the price comes down - you don't get very much for the cost, but it tastes good.

Pure salt! You want hypertension this is your product.
I read many reviews before buying. Most had positive reviews, negative reviews said it was nothing but salt! I tried giving this product the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake, as I took the first salted plum, my mouth cringed. This product is pure salt! Not a bit of spice at all. It would be nice to have a nice balance between salt and spice, it’s not the case with this product. I personally will not buy this product, and definitely do not recommend it to anyone, unless you like a have dose of salt!

Could be better
I’ve had many saladito snacks from childhood to adulthood - I’ve bought them at stores with predominantly Asian ingredients, taquerias, gas stations and grocery stores. Recently, the ones I found at a gas station far surpass these in all aspects, except for price. A pound of these at $17 is a great price. That said, the flavor and quality leave something to be desired. They also aren’t as “meaty” as another user described and are missing that limon/lime tang I so deeply desire in a snack such as this. It’s also as if they weren’t dehydrated properly, it’s difficult to explain, but it’s almost like the dried plum “meat“ collapses around the pit after it’s sat in your mouth for a little while. I’m used to them being almost like little rocks of salt and spice and everything nice. These ones kind of have a weird texture and are almost like little tamarind, chili balls. I taste more tamarind than anything else really. The flavor isn’t bad though, just not what I was wanting or expecting. I probably wouldn’t buy them again but I’m glad I tried them anyway, they were worth a shot for the price.

Great taste, will buy more
I've loved salados since I was a kid. These are perfect. Not too spicy or salty, compared to other salados. I grew up with them, but if you don't like spicy, this will probably be too spicy for you. I'll be getting more.By the way, if you're complaining that it's too salty, or dry, or spicy, you're supposed to be eating them by cutting an orange in half and stuffing one of these inside each half of the orange. That's how these are meant to be eaten.

Can I just say … DROOL!!!! YUM!
I absolutely love these! I’m trying to pace myself. I also like to crack the shell after I’ve eaten the “meat” of it and eat the inside seed (don’t think you’re supposed to do that but I do). Most times it’s mmmmm good but then there’s times when the inside seed is bitter, so don’t be surprised if you try this and it tastes weird.

Expensive and Disappointing
I recently have a craving to dried salted plum. Maybe my expectation was too high but I was expecting this to be somewhat similar to li hing mui I used to eat growing up. This is nothing like it. I was excited to try it out seeing how this doesn't contain aspatame unlike the other brands I see on amazon. I'm not happy with it at all, there is barely any fruit, the coating is just pure salt and some spices. It's also very hard and the flavor is just meh. It literally tastes like eating a rock salt, except it's way more expensive (cost me $18) and made in China. I wish I could get my money back.

Great price... That's about it.
Price is great for the amount provided.Unfortunately I taste mostly salt and hardly any chile. I grew up eating saladitos and chiladitos and recently got the urge to eat them again. Bought some hola branded ones and they were delicious. Was going to reorder the Hola brand, but found this bulk pack and decided to give them a try.Hola brand has better flavor so I'll be going back to those.
