Kryptek Valhalla camo pants: comfortable, good features, cool in the heat
I ordered these Kryptek Valhalla camo pants in the dark Typhon color, in a 40 Reg, after trying the hoodie & Ts; all fit true to size, and feel great on. I've worn them during mild to warm conditions--70s & 80s, & 80+ % humidity, during moderate exercise, and have been **very comfortable; even cooler when I wet them with a water sprayer before wearing...and they *do dry quickly. I'll try them in the 90s & 100s this month, & report back...The pockets are handy; 2 hips, 2 fronts, & 1 combo each leg: pliers sleeve-type, with a small, credit-card zipper pocket on those leg pockets. The front-pocket pouches run down the leg inside the pants, so may keep change & small stuff from rolling out onto a car seat or couch; the hip pockets have neither hook-&-eye nor button closure, so anything more valuable than a bandanna or balaclava might easily slip--or-*be slipped--out without you realizing it's gone.As for the camo, I first saw the pattern about a year ago, & immediately thought it would work well to conceal at both short & long distance; I therefore tend to believe the Kryptek blurb about .mil testing results--BUT I have *NOT tested these myself against either friendly or hostile eyes in the field...I'll update on that here, too, if & when I can. Visually, it seems to me to be really effective , and I haven't had that problem with noisy "swishing" between legs while walking/running that some "camouflage pants do.I hope this is helpful to the prospective buyer. Please let me know if you have questions.

Order a size or two higher
If you follow the sizing chart at Kryptek you will end up sending them back for a larger size. I am a athletic fit male in with a waist of 34-36 in jeans depending on brand. I ordered the 34x32 and they were nut huggers! I had to send them back and ordered a 36x32 much better fit, I don't believe there will be any shrinking due to the material. If your going to use an ITW holster at the 3:00 position or an appendix carry then it is my opinion go a size or 2 larger in the waist. I wore them out in the woods for walk and found them really quiet, comfortable and it kept me cool.

Worth Every Cent
I wore these hunting in SE Alaska in extremely rough terrain. I tore a 2" hole in them, but the tear would have happened in just about any pants. I have other pants that are similar materials for hunting and they would have torn much worse than these. They are extremely comfortable and met the challenge head on. Very light and no binding, pinching or tension on legs while climbing up steep mountainsides. The Mandrake blends in marvelously with the rain forest vegetation here. It blended in so well that while I was stalking, i had a sow and two cubs walk within 20ft of me and never saw me, really cool, but a little nerve wrecking. These are great for the environment here and are good early season hunting pants.

Weak material.
These pants tore on the first day of the season. They will not hold up to walking through brush. The material is very light and comfortable, and would be ok for east coast tree stand hunters. But if you are west of the Mississippi and pound ground for your meat (like a real hunter 😏) then you should avoid these pants.

Comfortable and durable.
I used them to go out shooting and to go hiking up in the mountains. They fit well and are super light and comfortable. I fell down the mountain and slid on my butt and also fell into some bushes. I was expecting them to be ripped and torn afterwards but they held up well.

these are super thin pants. not designed for the woods but fr a fishing boat
these pants are made out of the same material as an under armor shirt. very thin. not at all able to go into the woods in the south in the summer. they are cool however. but not for hunting or anything else in the woods

High waisted
I wanted to find tactical pants that weren’t baggy. These hunting pants fit the mold just right for shooting at the range. The material and pocket placements are awesome for keeping pmags on the outside of your knee. Keep in mind, these pants are high waist. I also had a tailor taper them down a bit. And shorten them up.

Very Lightweight
Good pants for the money. Very lightweight and a bit stretchy. My leg length was not available, so I had to hem them, but I knew that going in.

Great for Late Summer/Early Spring!
As the standard with Kryptek Gear, these are fantastic light duty pants.- Decent side stuff pocket with zippers.- Light duty fabric, however strong enough to resist walking through the woods.- Well stitched belt loops!- Very breathable pants!
