Very pleased with Frigidaire 12,000 115 volt A/C
This A/C replaces an almost 30 year old Fedders unit that worked flawlessly - until it didn't. Since it died in the last weeks of August there weren't any A/Cs in the local store so we needed to get one quickly. Got it thru Amazon.Overall after a week with the Frigidaire we are very pleased with it's performance. It has cooled two large adjoining rooms quickly, it moves the air around so you feel the cool breeze. The only real noise is the fan. Some may find it loud, but we think it is acceptable. Nice plus is it comes with a 4 piece trim that fits around the front edges of the unit after its installed in the wall - its a thru the wall unit, cooling only.Thru the wall units MUST be installed in a "sleeve". We chose the one for our unit (Frigidaire) rather than a generic sleeve. Perfect fit. Now, some people are complaining that there is no water dripping out the back. That is because newer A/Cs use the water that would normally drip, to cool the fins and the condenser. The fan in the back splashes the water around to the parts needed cooling. (I suppose if the condensation gets too much the water will drip out of the cut outs in the back.)Its too soon to rate energy efficiency so no comments about that.

Get the recommended sleeve
Putting the sleeve through the hole you make and screwing it to the lumber replaces any framing for support otherwise needed. The A/C unit comes enclosed in a steel case. The assembly slides in to perfect fit, to plug in and turn on. I don't use the remote. I got the recommended outside under support bracket and used it. The sleeve is so sturdy and balance of A/C unit front to rear weight made it practically unnecessary. On balance of weight, take note of your heavier side left to right for under support bracket installation. I couldn't follow that to the "T" because of stud cutting location of my preference, but the sleeve picked up any support necessary.

Good product
Had a small outer casing damage issue. Vendors response was immediate & so was the remedy. He was courteous and very easy to work with. Would definitely purchase from this vendor again.

Frigidaire did not live up to expectations or warranty
I bought this unit for my father and installed it in an existing wall cut out. It took some modifications, but I got it done. At first the unit worked great. Cold air in a 350 sq ft room for them. I installed it in mid-July 2022. They ran it maybe 5 times in 2022. They then ran it 3 times in 2023 when something popped in the back. I was with them at that the time on July 7, 2023. I called Frigidaire the next day. They said the warranty ran out. This is complete hogwash. It was under 1 year from it being placed into service. For this unit to break from being run less than 10 times is disgusting. For the company not to back their product is even worse.

Great AC Unit/Awesome Seller
My AC unit shipped sooner than expected and was a saving grace from the NYC heatwave. Thumbs up to the seller! The price was also the most affordable when I researched this brand elsewhere. Overall a great experience. Looking forward to several long years with my unit. Thanks!

Buyer beware!
I'm disappointed with this unit because it is noisy and doesn't run as efficiently as I expected it to. I have had to lower the setting to 65 to feel comfortable otherwise I have to use a fan as well to cool the room down.I received the unit on July 12th minus the remote and at the time of writing this review ( August 5th) I still haven't received one. I sent several emails to the company about the missing remote before someone saw it fit to make a response. I did what was required ( sending model number etc) and still have to be emailing them trying to find out when I will be getting the missing remote. This is an expensive unit and no way should I be in the position of having to send so many emails trying to get an item that should been in the box in the first place.Shame on you CyberSavings- your customer service shouldn't have to receive all of 5 emails before responding to a query and then dragging your feet after and not reaching out and keeping the customer in the loop. I am still waiting on my remote!*****UPDATE******After several more emails and frayed nerves the missing remote came exactly one month after reaching out to Cybersavings...one month!!Never again!

It cools and dries an area.
I was replacing a through-the-wall air conditioner. This was easy to install.
