Edit: Nine months later, I still love the computer, but save your money getting the WWAN. Nobody in the real world knows what WWAN even is, and after spending an inordinate amount of time and money (and lost internet time), I finally disovered the Sierra Wireless WWAN card installed in this computer is from 2016 and is no longer tech supported. I’m really irritated to have spent $300 more for it. I have to spend MORE money to buy Verizon’s Jet Pack in order to get a hot spot that I need in order to work at home. Considerably less happy with vendor than I was originally.I love absolutely everything about this purchase! The computer couldn’t be better, and I loved dealing with Cell Locker!First, the computer. I had a ten year old Dell, that was meh! OK to use until I was hired for an online job this January. A job that requires me to monitor several social media sites, so I need something that works quickly and accurately. I tried upgrading the Dell as much as I could, but there was just a limit. I finally decided a new computer was in order, and started research. For quite a while, I had settled on a MacBook Pro, but came to realize that I would have to re-learn how to think in Mac language. I also have an iPad, so it wouldn’t be that much of a stretch, but learning a new job, a new iPad AND a new Mac was more than I wanted to tackle. So I started thinking about PCs.Another Dell would be fine, but it was so doggone confusing to try and figure out what kind of a configuration to get. Several times, I just gave up. They give you a choice of five monitor resolutions and fifteen types of hard drives and on and on..... I was aimlessly wandering around Amazon one evening and came across ThinkPads. I had used one, years ago, in a transit stockroom that I helped run, and really liked it. So, I started looking, and the more I looked, the more I liked. I like larger monitors, so the P71 was the one for me! About the only negative comment I could find was that it was heavier than a normal laptop - this isn’t much of a problem for me, as I will travel a little for vacations and take the ThinkPad with me, but it will be on my desk the vast majority of the time.The configuration I settled on is the one shown in the description. It turns out that 65 GB is really what I need to do my job effectively. I just sit and grin at how fast it is. The monitor is exceptional! I could never see what most emoji’s look like (they looked like fuzzy balls), and now I see them SO clearly! I’m not sure, but I think the monitor is larger than my other 17” - I can fit more information on it. I love the feel of the keys, the height it sits at, and the way the keyboard is set up - I can lean my hands on the keyboard and only move my fingers. The one flaw is that the function key, for some strange reason, is located on the lower left of the keyboard. I’m used to the <Ctl> being there, so it’s taking a little bit of retraining for my fingers to go over one key when I want <Ctl>, but this is really minor.Setup was unbelievably simple. Cortana took charge, asked me questions, and did her thing. Since I work online, as does my entire company, all of the information we need is stored on servers that we share. She even found that information! Set-up took, maybe ten minutes, and when it was done, all of the information I needed to do my job was there! I was used to a lengthy and involved process in migrating information from one computer to another - I still have to move my personal files, but everything that really concerned me moved without a hitch!As for Cell Locker, I can’t say enough good about them, also. As well as a lot of research on computers, I also did a lot of research on the companies selling them here on Amazon. Cell Locker has an incredible track record as far as taking care of their customers. No other electronics company I looked at even came close to their percentage of satisfied people. The reviews themselves were all glowing, as well. I had two big questions before my ThinkPad arrived, and left questions here. They were answered IMMEDIATELY and thoroughly! I would deal with these folks again in a heartbeat, and have already sent people their way.So, this is not an inexpensive computer. ThinkPads are not. But they are almost indestructible. I’m not seeing that I’m going to be replacing this one any time soon, if I need to at all. You could either buy a cheaper one every few years, or bite the bullet and pay for quality. In both the ThinkPad and the people selling it.
