IRIScan Express 4 USB Portable 1200 dpi Scanner

In order to install the scanner, you have to download a bunch of software, but the website will not allow you to download anything until you take the time to create an account and register your device! Then, you download, launch the installer and proceed to install drivers, and software and all sorts of things with ZERO guidance from the included (very limited) documentation. Then, after spending the better part of 2 hours installing everything and registering and jumping through dozens of hoops, the POS doesn't work! It won't scan, it won't even show up as if the thing is still not installed properly. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Excellent product! The best use for this product is small scanning jobs. A page here and there, an invoice, a quote, a recipe, my kids artwork, a report card, etc. What I like about this product is the fact that it is directly connected to my computer at all time. I don't even have to click on the scan button to get the pages scanned, turned to PDF and sent to my dedicated folder. In other words, when the software is installed and you choose where you want the scans to go, it's fully automated from here on. That's super cool. I don't need to put my "scanning hat on" every time I use it. I do have a flatbed scanner but when I push "scan", nothing happen. I would need to learn all kinds of manipulations, which I have no desire to do. I just want the path of least resistance to digitize all my papers and the learning curve with the irisscan express is close to zero once you have set it up the way you want. I recommend this product to whomever wants to "set it and forget it". I just scanned 3 receipts, here you go!

Ordered for the Iris scanner 4 but it’s too small. Will Be returning it. My husband has the Epson scanner and his case fit perfectly

Son bought me a printer with no scanner. Not a complaint but going through a divorce there are times I needed a scanner and did not have one on the printer. I went low price on this one.Main problem is having to register the product before I could download the drivers. Other that that, it does what it sets out to do. Scans one page at a time and makes it an image. OCR software lets you convert to Word if needed.

Software was difficult to install. Worked great for a few weeks and now I am getting an error code and does not work.

This scanner will not install because no software available. I jumped though a bunch of hoops to find software download for Express 4, found nothing but a page wanting me to register and wanting to collect information I refuse to give.

The website doesn’t work. I am unable to use this product. It won’t connect to my computer. Very disappointed!!
