My 5 year old Grandson was able to control it and I had to buy a second one for me. Highly recommend great price and just as good if not better as the more expensive models

Motor burned up after 3 days
After 3 days the motor burned up on this boat. It does not keep the water out, so we would have to open it up, empty the water, and let it dry out. In those 3 days it only ran about 15 minutes a day. Then it started smoking and you could see the plastic around the motor had melted. See picture for melted motor cover

Well made little boat - waist high surf no problem!!
Super great little boat that runs well in the ocean. Good water tight seal and strong engine. Corrects itself 100% of the time when it flips upside down, with the proper control move.I took it out in waist high surf in San Diego and it got thrashed several times near the shore in a complete mix of sand and water. It rolled up to the shore so I picked it up and sent it back out for another. I've done this for 5 days in a row now multiple times each day and it's a blast. I got it to surf a couple of larger waves too. LMAO!! 🤣 🤣. Just plain fun.One word of caution: Keep the prop shaft greased after about 10 uses. Water will seep into the shaft and allow water to enter the control compartment. I noticed some water inside (about a tablespoon amount) and the steering control started to wiggle back and forth rapidly. I dried out everything with a hair dryer and let it sit overnight - then greased the shaft. No luck - lost my steering ability but thrust works fine.One other problem - how do you get the outer shell off? I had to pry it off with a blade. The boat needs a tab to remove the cabin shell.For the price I strongly recommend it but keep the prop shaft greased!

Not for pools with a liner!
Ok. So the boat is FAST! I’ll give it that!!! BUT……the kids had it in my pool for less than 5 mins and it put a hole in my liner. If you purchase this, don’t use it on a pool with a liner!!! I wish it didn’t say for pools!!! 😱😫
