Esschert Design FF129 Patio Stove, Black, 150 cm

This is a good quality cast iron Chimenia . It is quite squat as per its measurements but is built in several separate parts that sit together without fixings. It's heavy and is not going to be blown away. It comes apart very simply which makes cleaning it out a doddle. Easy to assemble initially but best done it the place you want it as its heavy to move around. One of the best i've had over the years.

This Esschert design chiminea looked really good in the picture. Weighing in at 73 kilos and with a price tag of £. - (total £469.09 with VAT and a significant delivery cost.) On close inspection this chimineas finish does not match the price tag. On first firing it gave off a lot of toxic smoke as the cover paint burned off. The wealding is so poor you can see light through places where it is particularly shoddy. The component parts have been joined in an inaccurate manner and look awful. I feel that the sales picture does not portray an accutate image of what it looks like in reality. I am unhappy with the product and feel that the price does not reflect the quality expected. So now I have an item that I feel is substandard but cannot return it as it weighs 90.3 kg ( full shipping weight ) Overall my best advice is dont buy it !

The positives : Solid construction, a good thickness to the iron used which will hold heat for a greater length of time than flimsy sheet metal types. Looks the part, gives off a great deal of heat once warmed up. The cons: Overall finish is not as smooth as pictured, the legs do not fit close to the body due to the poor finish along their edges. very noticeable gaps between upper and lower sections in some areas (doesn't affect the function but is quite visible) Rust has started despite the paint after even a small amount of rain (to be expected but did expect it to take longer to gain a foot hold) . The lack of a grate can mean that embers can fall out easily. Packaging is nothing more than a cardboard box and a thin sheet of polythene. Mine was delivered by DPD which might explain why the packaging looked as if it had been kicked all the way to my house and not delivered by a truck.

For starters, the product is not cast iron which was evident immediately after unpacking it as it was broken! Delivery was about £15 and for it to arrive in this state is totally unacceptable but clearly it is poor quality to begin with.

Product arrived with 2 parts cracked. It was not well made and not the quality I was expecting for the price paid. However the seller did send a refund quickly which was good. Not a product I would recommend

This product is dreadful, can’t believe it is allowed to be sold! Dangerous, it arrived cracked and broken in the box. The casting quality it the worst I have ever seen. It is truly atrocious. Do not buy one

As you can see by the photos after only using it a couple of times it has a hole in it!I have been in touch with the seller who will not replace as it has been used!!!! The refund they are prepared to give is 30% very unfair as it is not my fault they did not make it properly.One unhappy customer would definitely not recommend!!!

Tres belle cheminée d exterieur, nous sommes ravi de l'avoir commandée!!! cela rend vraiment bien dans notre cour. prevoir des bout de bois assez petit et des pommes de pins pour que cela marche parfaitement.nous recommandons un traitement anti rouille pour pérenniser l'objet!!

I like to have a nice fire going when we are outside at night. This small chimenea is the perfect size. I was very happy with the build quality. It is all iron and setup only takes about 10 minutes. I gave mine a few coats of high heat black spray paint. This has always helped my previous chimeneas last a long time. Like I said, the size is perfect for me. It stands about 2 feet tall and weights 46 lbs when fully assembled. I like to get a really hot fire going and maintain it until we are ready to go in. If you want it to die out, all you do is stop feeding it about 15-20 minutes prior to going inside. It will almost completely burn out within that time. There is no screen door but I have rarely had anything pop out. Keep in-mind that you have to have your wood sized correctly, about 6-8 inches long at most. The little chimenea put out some impressive heat. It really does heat up a good 8 feet around it.

Very very well built I bought this because my ceramic ones always break this is the real deal cast iron
