The Green Man

Hoping for a green man, found an orange one with pink spots

Alastair Sim again as a dour bungling villain on a par with the Lady Killers in this satirical black comedy. The Green Man seems to elude the same popularity on present day media, so very lucky that Amazon have been able to source this very entertaining film marketed by Studio Canal. A bit on the pricy side, but sadly quality sadly doesn't always come cheap and it's pleasingly well packaged.

This is a gem of a film and in my opinion where all British modern films begin. The secret strength of the film is not the plot but all the incidentals and the anarchic fun

A fine package for a great film, despite the two contributors in the Special Features unbelievably making the same mistake about the fate of one of the main characters!

Big fan of Alastair Sim & the old Ealing films. This is a right merry go round of mishaps, but good fun. Won't spoil the ending.

Another great 50's film. Alastair Sim giving another great performance with strong support from George Cole. Very funny and stands up to repeated viewings.

I have watched this film many times and it always makes me laugh. A good lift you up film to be watched time and time again.
