My feet are wide but I don't necessarily require wide shoes. These boots are medium in width & comfortable. I've worn them to a day of adventure in downtown Chicago that required to be on my feet all day & was totally fine.

I measured it, and it is about 3 1/2 inches. Easy to walk on though... The chunky front makes it a bit less steep

I didn't walk in them enough to say they wouldn't squeak eventually but for the little I did walk in them, they did not squeak
