ColumbiaWomen's Sandy River Cargo Short

This is my 2nd pair. Perfect for wearing over my swimsuit on vacation. Very light, very packable, quick dry, great fit. I love that they are not pull on and have a proper fly, decent pockets and even a belt which isn’t really necessary.

I'm a zookeeper and wear these about once a week. The pockets are deep and the belt loops are the right size. The length is nice and the material is durable.

I got these shorts for an upcoming trip to the Grand Canyon. I haven't worn them yet so I can't speak to its durability quite yet.The material is great -- super lightweight and has a nice breezy feeling. The material seems like it will dry incredibly quickly which is one of the main reasons I chose this style.The waist is elastic with zippered fly and a top button. There's also a top belt that I don't know will be of much use.I had difficulty with the sizing. Columbia sizing is always a little off to me -- sometimes I'm an XS with room to spare and other times I'm an S that just fits. I usually wear a 2 in "regular" clothing / 26 in designer jeans. I got these in the S originally and they ran big on me. I could pull the shorts on and off without needing to unzip (minus belt). I was worried the shorts would slip off and I do not have a small waist despite wearing a size 2 (I have no curves). Then I ordered the XS and though the legs fit great now the waist was a tad too tight. It's not unbearable but it gives me the slightest of muffin tops. I'm going to keep the XS because they feel much more secure.

I wear the long omnishade pants by Columbia all but coldest months here in Texas when I’m outside. They are much more cooler & comforterable than jeans. I love how they wick moisture & dry extremely quick.. super easy to wash, stain resistant & I wash on cool or warm & either dry on low or drip dry almost as quickly. I love the cargo pocket- perfect for my large sized phone. So I knew I would love these shorts, got 2 - stock was low on Amazon so got second pair thru academy online. I wear size 10.. maybe 8-10 & medium fits perfectly in these shorts. Which are extremely comfortable & cool-& like the pants, thin yet durable..you don’t realize you have them on- perfect 6” inseam length -& I love that they hit right at my waist- soo much more comfortable & esp easier to conceal carry - shorts have a couple of cargo pockets as well - they’re really on the smaller side, yet still handy & useful... I hope Columbia will continue to carry both pants & shorts for a very long time!!

Cute shorts, true to size, but the snaps are so cheap that mine broke after just a couple of months while I was taking the shorts off. I have not been able to figure out how to replace or fix it. I am not a seamstress. The snap is cheap plastic and totally destroyed though. I doubt these are actually Columbia brand.

Very light weight, quick-drying, and comfortable with a stretch waistband beneath the adjustable clip belt, deep side pockets (large enough for an iPhone 10 in a wallet style cover) and roomy legs - just the right length, about 4” above the top of my knee. There is an additional small zippered pocket on the right leg, and small flap-over pocket on the left - perfect for keys, money, ID card, lip balm, etc. I’m 60 years old, 5’4”, 145 lbs. and these are just exactly the warm weather hiking/ walking shorts I was looking for. Ladies, if you are looking for something that will still fit as your body changes a size or two, these fit the bill. I am currently in the size 10-12 range and ordered a size large. Even though they feel roomy, They look great and I think they will still look good as I (hopefully) drop back down to the size 8-10 range

I am 5’2, 150-155lbs with 36DD chest. I am curviest around my butt and hips, size Large fit me perfectly in the khaki color and in the navy blue color. They’re not too tight around my butt and thighs, which is usually an issue. Very comfortable length too, if you’re worried about chaffing.

Love it. Just what I wanted , easy to clean, lightweight , durable fabric ,only negative is the belt is too long. Also when I wash it, I close the snap and buckle but the come apart in the wash and it becomes tangled a but with other clothes. And the pockets are a little too small in front.

They are shorter than they look in the picture but not too short to wear. Otherwise material is nice for a quick dry material.
