Mobile Art: Papers, Designs, and Instructions for Making Twenty Stunning Mobiles

I bought this as a gift for an eleven year old. It appears to be age appropriate and will produce colorful mobiles.

This kept my 12 year old daughter busy for hours on end! (Thank goodness) It did involve a trip to the craft store to pick up additional supplies. You can use the templates and trace them onto something more permanent, like stiff felt. you can glue on googly eyes or decorate them with glitter paint. You can pick up wooden dowels at the craft store instead of using hangars. This is a great investment!

Fun, creative, inspiring.

Bought this for my 9 year old and it was a huge hit - one of the best presents on Christmas morning. Hours of activity and they are nice enough to really use for decoration when they are done. Needs some adult assistance with an exacto knife, but mainly is do-able independently.

I ordered the book for suggestion for supplies: wires, glues, strings, etc. That was helpful. I thought the designs in the book for beginners was very dated.

This book was exactly what I thought it would be.I used it to teach a class on beginning mobiles and thestudents were very happy with it.

Lots of lovely mobiles to make - I can't decide whether to give it as a present or keep it - that's how good it is!
