Transcends all subject matters to create something truly unique
Howard Bloom delivers not only an incredibly diverse and unique perspective in this book, but he provides some much needed humanity to megastars and their very nature. For example, his words on Michael Jackson and how Michael influenced him make compelling and, at times, touching reading.Howard finds a way to connect the Sciences, Art, the Media and Life in this memoir. What makes the book most impressive is the omnipresent angle in which it is written. I found many times in the book he is humble, warm and contemplative. Perhaps his brilliance is wasted on some, but I can’t stress enough how impressive this book is. Highly recommended.

Excellent, intriguing writing.
I was a little intimidated at first by how many pages and the small size of the letters. But it had Michael Jackson in the title and I'm all about MJ. So I dug in. Howard Bloom is an excellent story teller and has lived a phenomenal life. This book talks about when he worked his way towards becoming a publicist for many rock and roll artists and pop recording artists including the Jacksons. You learn a lot of interesting information about the recording business and many inside stories to the artists he represented. As I read I realized that the book was no longer intimidating but actually enthralling. I am interested in reading more books by Howard Bloom. He is a fascinating person and a fabulous author. I definitely recommend this book. You will not be disappointed.

A comment on the author's integrity
I have much respect for Mr. Bloom's intellect. I think he would not have written this book which contradicts much of his previous work if he were to be around for feedback. For that I'm sad. He will be missed.Thank you Mr. Bloom. Go in peace.Bill Ireland

An enthralling book
The author guides us on his remarkable and implausible journey to the heights of the rock and roll music industry. Along the way he allows us to glimpse the inner core of many of the musical greats of our time. The author also shares his keen insights about the nature and power of different musical genres to reveal and propel societal seismic shifts. The book is beautifully written and a truly exciting and compelling adventure. I would give it six stars if there was another star to give.

An amazing insight
Howard, with his Howard Bloom Organization Ltd., researched, then dove in and uncovered the soul of the music and the performing artist. Howard then preached what he defined as “Secular Shamanism”. My personal fascination with the concept and the procedure of going in and finding the source, that which is the soul of the music stems from my perspective of acknowledging that same concept, only on an individual level. The idea of expanding it to the crowd is remarkable to me.This book, “Einstein, Michael Jackson & Me: A search for soul in the power pits of rock and roll” by Howard Bloom is a detailing of what happened with the bands that I grew up loving. How I came to love them. The secrets behind what it is that made them the artists that changed my life. This book is a wonderful insight into what Howard did to bring these bands to me, by first making me aware of them, and how he helped them define themselves.Thank you Howard for all you’ve done. This book is a wonderful insight into a world that has helped define me and my world.
