Saves your breath
I bicycle commute all year round, and I live in an area prone to thermal inversions. Bad air quality due to particulates is of particular (no pun intended) concern. Hence, I originally purchased this respirator five or six years ago to filter out as many particulates as possible. It is light and while I will not say that it is totally comfortable to wear while bicycling, it is most certainly tolerable. And it is most certainly very helpful. The respirator was also helpful in the fall while I was raking up dry, dusty leaves. Then I developed allergies to pollen, and found that using the respirator while mowing the lawn and doing yard work significantly reduced the production of mucus (the body's mechanism for trying to clear particulates out of our respiratory system) with its accompanying cough and sore throat. Most recently, extensive wildfires spewed smoke for weeks into the valley; once again the respirator helped protect my lungs. I spotted my letter carrier wearing a similar respirator.Sure, I get a few wierd looks from people. But I get the last laugh; my doctor said she treats many, many people with respiratory problems during bad air episodes.I go through about one respirator per year, and in my opinion the health gains are well worth the expense and minimal hassle.

Worked really well
Did a lot of spray painting of items in my garage and this mask was a tremendous help keeping me from inhaling fumes and particles. This one worked a LOT better than a thinner mask I used in the past. I did only give it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is very hot/uncomfortable to wear - the straps are not uncomfortable...just it being on my face made me sweaty, but it's better than breathing in the fumes - small trade off. Very glad I found this!

Probably works really well, but not on a small face
It seems like a good mask, but it is definitely sized ONLY for large faces. I am a woman with a small face, and it was just so over-sized that it was very uncomfortable. However, I think if you have a good sized face, this would be a very good mask, it did not fog up on me when I wore goggles, and seems a good value for the money. Unfortunately, small-faced people are doomed to wear ill-fitting masks that no matter how good they might be, will never work properly as they do not come in a small size.

Great for home improvement projects
Great for home improvement projects where you don't want to breathe in dust or if you need a good mask because of dealing with some potential mold issues. It's nice and thick (so beware if you're one of those people who find it difficult to breathe with a mask on), and the valve helps to keep you from being too sweaty under the respirator. If you take good care of it and aren't using it for hours on end and not using it with potential exposure to mold, you probably could get a few uses out of it before needing to toss it.

Outstanding mask for wildfire smoke season!
This is the best mask I have used for when the wildfire smoke is really bad outdoors. With the mask on and fitted properly, I can't even smell the smoke. One mask lasts me one fire season each year of nearly daily use for 3-6 weeks. It's most important to make sure the nose fitment is as perfectly bent to your face shape as possible. That's where it's most likely to leak on the edge of the mask.

Works, but sweaty on face
In order for this to be 100% filtering, there's a rubbery 'skirt' around the inner edge of the mask so as to get a good seal on the face. After working for a while it became uncomfortable, so I've decided that for most uses I can do with N95 and don't need N100.

If you have bad allergies, you MUST get one of these for backup.
Best personal air filter I've ever used. Nothing negative to say about this mask.+ Comfortable+ Good seal / fit.+ Good filtration.+ Doesn't get hot or stuffy.I'm a heavily allergy sufferer and I keep one of these around me at all times in my bag as an emergency backup, like if there's a sudden wind- or dust-storm (which actually happened, and I was prepared!) or if I need to do some heavy lifting outdoors on a bad air-quality day.Sure these are a pricey compared to your typical run-of-the-mill surgical face masks that allergy sufferers are used to buying for $5 for a 50 pack, but they can't do what this respirator can do. Even if you don't buy this for every-day-use, you should definitely buy it for emergency or backup and just keep it in reserve.
