This is a very good looking and durable case. It adds a lot of bulk to the phone, but it makes it easy to grip. The Galaxy phones like some others are very slick and easy to drop. This case makes it not quite so easy to drop. However, if you have small hands, you might find this case feels a bit bulky for you.I subtracted one star because the harder plastic trim ring that goes around the edge (the gray piece in my pictures) does not fit very well. You have to kind of force it into place, and it occasionally still starts to slip off the phone. It can be pushed back in to place with not too much effort, but it makes you wonder how well it will stay in place during a really hard fall.Pair this case with a tempered glass screen protector and you will have an affordable alternative to the bulky OTTERBOX cases. I am speaking from experience when I say you NEED to pair this case with a glass screen protector. As you can see from my pictures, it is still possible to shatter the screen with this case installed. If you drop it on rocks screen down this case will NOT protect your screen.I unfortunately shattered the screen the day before the screen protector arrived. Should have had Amazon Prime...

If you have purchased this product and have found out that it does not fit properly (as happened to me), here is a fix that worked for me.(1) look at the hard plastic outer piece to see if it is bowed (see picture)(2) boil some water in a pot on a stove(3) immediately after taking the pot off the stove, immerse the hard plastic cover in the water (using pliers to keep it from touching the bottom of the pot, as it may stick to the pot bottom) for about 1 minute to heat it up(4) remove the hard plastic piece, grab it with your hands (gloves may help but I did not need them) and apply pressure to "de-bow" the hard plastic piece.(5) try fitting it now; repeat immersing in boiling water and try again, maybe applying more pressure, until it fitsNote: I was ready to throw this case in the garbage, before I thought of trying this. Now, it fits like a glove and I give it a 5 rating, after the fix. Before the fix, I had rated it a 1 rating.

A week ago my husband and I decided that it was time for our kids to get their own phones so that they not only stop hogging ours for games and such, but also so that I could somewhat keep an eye on them during the day when they are home with my husband sleeping because he works overnights. We decided to pass down our old phones and being that they are just kids, they both needed a protective case because we were not going to buy new phones every time they broke theirs. My daughter loves the fact that she was able to get purple and black on a phone case because all of a sudden, those are her two favorite colors. The case itself is thick and protective and was so easy to slide on the phone. She was upset that it didn't have a kickstand but was instantly over that once she saw it on her phone. Unlike my son, I don't have to worry about her dropping her phone and breaking it, but we decided to get her a protective case just in case, and we are so glad that we did.

This case is just meh, poorly constructed. The black plastic rubber pulls away from the blue sturdier plastic. The bottom part where my finger is pointing on the pic is very loose on the phone. Does not cover or encase the phone at all on the bottom part. Phone is not very snug in the case. Half debating whether if it is worth the return to kohls amazon and ordering a new one and waiting for delivery again.

Like others have stated, when I first got the case, it would not stay on the phone. It kept popping off. So like one reviewer said, I boiled it in water for a few seconds and reshaped it. Once I did that, it fit great and I really like it now. I would have given it 5 starts, but I don't like that it's two pieces and no screen protector. I ended up purchasing a separate screen protector to go with it. It's OK and I believe if I dropped my phone it would protect it, but I don't think we should have to boil it to make it fit. I wouldn't buy this again but am currently using it until I find something else.

I just received my case yesterday( 11/3/16), order it on Tuesday. Fast Delivery..but that could be because I"m a Prime member. :)Anywho, the case looks really nice, but the plastic part of the case doesn't stay on the rubber portion of it. It constantly slips off. I was buying this for my teenager daughter, for her new phone, that's replacing her phone that she damaged after a week of having it. Seeing how the case doesn't properly stay together, when it's in a idle position, I didn't want to chance it not protecting the phone when it fail. I'm returning the case and getting another one (different one entirely). If this case didn't have the issue of 1/2 of it's structure slipping off, I would have given this a 4 or 5 star rating.

The product itself is very nice, solid and attractive blue. Unfortunately it was just a bit too large for my phone. I've only returned a few things with Amazon but never had an issue with it until now. Was stunned to find out that for me to print a return label and bring it to the UPS store, I would be charged $6.06. Seriously? The product itself cost me only $8! No, I've tossed this case into the trash. They got their $8 this time but I'll never buy another one of their products.

My husband has a Galaxy S3 phone that works perfectly. It is amazing. He needed a new case and I was hoping this would be the one. Hard to get on phone. It was like it was too small. Finally got the case on the phone and after several weeks of looking good, the case now wants to fall off. It won't stay on. The next step is to put a rubber band around the phone to hold the case on. The colors are great, the material is good, but cases aren't being made for an older model phone.

Hard plastic case does not attach well to rubber case.
