Brillant!t tool for artist! The Value finder is Transparent - Hold up to Object you want to paint!
Wow - for years I have used all the tools to determine value of colors in painting Oils and Watercolors. This is the best one after 30 years. The Range finder is actually transparent. Look through the value and see the object you are painting and accurately identify the value - hold it up to what you have painted and see if you have gotten the value spot on. This is the best for seeing the value in determining colors for painting.

Way over priced for this item. I should have shopped around for a better deal. I'm sure there is an American product that would be better and cheaper.
