Kool Seal Premium 10 Year Elastomeric Roof Coating, White, 1 Gallon

I've been using Kool Seal for several years on my motorhome. I'm not sure it really has a 10-year life, but it's easy to apply and clean up, bright white, so it's naturally reflective. Price is good for what you get, doesn't stick great to everything (i.e. tape/caulking,) but adheres well to the actual roofing material. Recommended.

I bought this to coat the one-piece metal roof on a cargo trailer that I converted into a stealth RV. Frankly, I wanted something that would mitigate the machine gun rattle of rain on the bare metal. It does this, although not as much as I hoped. I also discovered some leaks along the edges that I hit with an extra thickness after sealing them. I now have no leaks and a somewhat quieter trailer.It went on very easily with a roller. I got two coats on my 6x12 trailer, with some left over. The temperature was about 60 to 65 degrees, and it cured to a non-tacky state in about two hours. I waited overnight before applying the second coat.This was one of my least expensive options, and I cannot imagine a more expensive product providing a better result.

Painted a metal truck cap roof. It took way more than 2 coats on prepped primer and steel. It wanted to bleed extremely minor surface rust through. I will update if it doesn't hold up to highway usage.

The product was thin as mentioned in several reviews, but coated well over the base, less then a month later it is bubbling up and starting to break down. Not impressed and can't reach the manufacturer by the provided number.

I got this to complete 5 gal pail that came up a bit short. So far so good, the product flows very well and builds a nice surface, a roller is best.. it is amazing what it does on a roof, in heat of the day while a normal asphalt or similar flat roof is 130 + F degrees, un coated it burns to touch right through ones shoes, whereas this type of coating makes it feel cool. to touch of the hand.

This is roof coating for my RV. It was sold my Amazon at a good price because it was a return with a little damage to can. The packaging coming to me was terrible, much too big of a box with only one little piece of paper to kept the can from bouncing around in the box. the lid cracked opened a little and made a mess. This must have been packaged up on a Friday.

Unbelievable results. Roof on enclosed trailer would burn you to the touch inside in the sun. Two coats of Kool Seal and the tin roof is warm to the touch in sun. Didn't even have to install the exhaust fan I bought. In college at University of Alabama in 1968 I put one coat on a 12 x 60 house trailer and it went from unbearable to liveable.

If this is the base coat/gray primer, I'm very impressed. It wasn't easy to clean because it's solvent-based, but I didn't expect it to be. And since I used the entire pail, I really didn't need to worry about that. I used disposable application equipment on purpose, since I live full time in my RV and can't carry that stuff with me anyway. But this stuff went down smooth and had an impressively fast drying time, allowing me to apply two full coats with the single pail on my 23-foot rig's roof. The top coat I never got to use because the pail exploded enroute and was dripping out of the box when it arrived, so I refused the shipment. I ended up using Henry's Enviro-Cool Elastomeric acrylic topcoat, which worked great over this primer.

This product is very good all around. Easy to use, very white. Does everything it says it should and is the best brand I have ever used and I have used others. I bought more after trying it and its a bonus on the cooling, it really makes a difference. I highly recommend it.
