Woodland Scenics WOOC1179 Shaper Sheet, 18" x 72"

You can do amazing mountains with and create scale projects, just bought Shaper Sheet Plaster and look at Woodland scenic website.

Worked good even for something it wasn't designed for. I used to make a mold for casting epoxy.

I've used Shaper Sheet on a skeleton formed from foam insulation to model two large mountains after learning about it from a Model Railroader video. By crinkling the product and then stretching it out afterward, you can obtain a surface that looks kind of realistic. I've had success joining adjacent sheets, and attaching the sheets to a framework, with hot glue. Be sure to brush on a thin coat of plaster to harden the surface (I've used regular plaster of paris mixed 1:1 with water), then paint it and apply other scenery materials.

I am using this to create mountainous scenery on a model railroad display. It works very well, although when following directions given to piece the adjoining pieces together using the sticky backing provided on the foil, it really requires using a heated glue gun to complete fastening them together.

I hate the cost, but the ease of use and results are worth it in areas that are difficult for me to manage. Great durability if you have good structure below and sufficient plaster stiffening on the surface of this material. In fact, I just cannabalized three "islands" of terrain which used Shaper Sheet from my old table, and used more of this product to tie old and new together. Works great.

This stuff awesome!!! This was recommended to me by a fellow or railroad modeler. It made Shaping a mountain that I built for my model railroad a whole heck of a lot easier. It cut the time down in half, really easy to use you just shape it to the form that you need apply the plaster let it dry and your set.
