Beautiful
Beautiful looking mixer tap! When it arrived, I was worried it was to big to use with the small sink in the bathroom.I thought the water would hit the front of the sink and caused slashing.I couldn’t of been more wrong! The water flow is softer than the previous tap water flow.It looks stunning. The lever to the tap is upright for hot water and you pull it down half way down for the cold. The hot and cold markings are inside the level which you pull out for the faster flow of water. Otherwise the colour markings are hidden of view.

I particularly love the side lever which is a little unusual but ...
Just had one of these installed in our newly re-furbished en-suite, sitting proudly on a new Duravit sink which it complements perfectly, and also matching our new Hansgrohe shower system too. As one would expect from Hansgrohe, the design and quality of the product is outstanding. I particularly love the side lever which is a little unusual but very practical and easy to use, ideal if you wish to place a large mirror above the sink as we have done as it ensures plenty of space. One big tip though - Hansgrohe are very good at eco-warrioring (or as most good hotels with HG taps/showers will tell you: 'protecting the earth's precious natural resources' - marketing speak for saving themselves a fortune on their metered water supplies) and this tap continues this approach with a published flow rate of 5 litres/minute. Now I personally don't find that strong enough. The answer is to gently unscrew the spout head, where aside from the aerator (this bit which makes the water lovely and bubbly) you will find a green disc. This is a water flow restrictor. It is also really easy to remove! Simply then re-fit the spout assembly back onto the tap (if you use a wrench, cover the spout with a cloth to protect it) and behold!! Decent water pressure, at least 50% stronger than before. I measured the before and after effect in my sink. Filling with the water flow limiter fitted, it took a pedestrian 97 seconds to fill up to the first drop of water running into the sink overflow. Without the green disc in situ, the same fill to the same first drop running into the overflow took a far more pleasing 56 seconds - an important improvement for rinsing off razors/toothbrushes etc, unless you have a lot of time to kill.I admire Hansgrohe for doing what they can to conserve water, but it worries me that they are less than transparent about it. We've had similar 'hidden' restrictions with our new shower system too, and the improvement once removed is incredible. That said, this is an outstanding product, and justifiably earns all five stars.

Great tap, waste not suitable
The tap was fitted with ease but the waste was not compatible with the sink waste, being too short to reach through to connect to the down pipe. I understand from the plumber that Grohe make a connector to suite but no time to order, had to buy a local product at short notice.

Energy saving function is absolutely rubbish and the tap is not UK ready
1. On a normal mixer centre is mix of hot/cold and you slide left or right for hot cold. What this tap does is essentially rotate it 90 degrees so you cannot swivel right, only left. The end result is you find yourself turning the handle twice as far. Maybe this is as intended, but you may not be aware this is how it works, and in practical reality it is completely and utterly awful to use on a daily basic. Don't buy it.2. My tap did indeed say 'comes from EU' so I should not complain, however when you look at the same tap and lots of other taps that are shipped direct from UK, what they fail to tell you is the flexible tap connectors are not UK. So if you look at the drawings (if there is one) and it says 3/8" you may think being imperial it will fit, but your UK tap is half inch. Note, you can mostly intermix 10mm for 3/8 and 15mm for half inch as they are the same size if they have the same british screw type. So when you get this 3/8" tap it won't fit, you have to then buy a reducer and if you're using inline valves then you'll also need more connectors and converts (if you can find the right sex). Essentially, Amazon and retailers are ripping you off selling non standard products.

Nice looking, but quality is average at best!
This product scratches so easily, even with soft cloths. Very disappointed with the three I purchased!

Hochwertige Armatur.
