Nokta Makro Simplex+ Metal Detector

Happy with item, customer service was very good too with very fast responses, 5* though I would make only one note: after checkout you get a notification saying you might be asked to pay customs tax as it’s imported from Portugal, and that if you are the seller will compensate you 50% of the fee amount and you pay the other half, I was not charged anything additional and so I don’t know what amount this tax would be but I thought I’d make mention of it as you aren’t told this until after you checkout, not something that warrants stars being deducted, as I’m sure the order could be cancelled if you weren’t happy with this since the sellers very responsive, no complaints overall!

Superb machine for the price. Took a lot of research before I could decide, and each time, I kept coming back to this one. It was a close call with the vanquish with its multi frequency, but this just won me over and is a pleasure to use.

Does a great job, but time is needed to get the best from this. It does not come with headphones at entry level so headphones with a jack plug will be best if you already own some, you just need to buy a large to small din plug adaptor, about £3.Lightweight and takes apart easily

I bought the metal detector from this company and it is very good and easy to use. Also the customer service is very good 👍 and they are quick to reply to emails so efficient I will definitely be doing business with them again. 5 stars all round

The simplex works great in certain conditions, in some other conditions it is a bit 'chatty' false bleeps.If you have a field that is just soil with hardly any natural rocks it works fantastically, you can run it on full sensitivity and only have minor random 'chatter' occur.If you detect anywhere near a certain type of rock it can detect the rock as target which creates a lot of 'chatter' and you have to run it on lower sensitivity.There are 7 sensitivity levels, 7/7 being the highest, if you run it at full what near magentic rocks you will have a bad day full of chatter, if you run it at 3 or 4 out of 7 there will still be some chatter but you will be able to tell if there is an actual target.When I first started using the machine I found it slightly frustrating, but you need to spend time and learn the machine to and you quickly learn what is chatter and what is a target.My total opinion is that for £270 it is a great machine, it holds it's own against some machines that are £700+.This chatter problem is not unique to the simplex, you will find that many other machines do it to, it might not even be a problem, if they remove the chatter then you might miss some targets.Don't forget to learn about ground balancing the machine properly. A lot of the people who have problems with the machine just aren't reading the manual. READ THE MANUAL!!!All in all it's a good machine, but not perfect, to get a perfect machine you need to spend near £1k.

New to metal detecting . Pleased with the detector. Looking forward to finding treasures.
