Love using this for tofu dishes. It is super easy to use and clean up. I recommend this to anyone!

For the price I think it's solid. Put some tofu in, compress, and leave in the sink for 15-30 minutes. But I've only used it twice and it's clear there is a fair bit of stress on the plastic. I didn't grab a photo while I was cooking, but the white plastic in the photo is where I'm worried about. I'll keep an update if it ever breaks and how many uses you can get out of it. If there is a revision on the design I'd maybe say try a rectangular washer and nut/rivet to spread out the stress. I think it would be worth the extra dollar or two if you do it :)

The media could not be loaded.  Works well with firm and extra firm tofu, as they say. My photo and video show it after I have screwed it down more after 30 min of initial pressure.I leave mine in this dish and pick it up and gently drain out the liquid from time to time. That’s not an issue for me. Neater, cleaner and easier than using paper towels and stacking plates and skillets and making a mess.Hand wash, but not an issue for me. Assembly and disassembly are quit and easy.Have not used this with medium or softer tofu.

This product can only compress to a certain extent. It kinda tightens in the middle and doesn't exert much pressure to the ends. I liked the idea that it caught the water that drained out, but now that I've tried it, I realize that prevents the water from draining away from the tofu.

It doesn't fit all sizes of tofu blocks, only small ones and it doesn't squeeze water well. On top of that, it doesn't seem sturdy enough, so not sure if it will last long. Disappointing and pretty expensive for what it is.... I sent it back.

Love that I don't have to stack plates and place heavy items on top of said plates. I had too many instances where items fell over and off and landed on the floor broken or dented But NO MORE. Item works as intended and well.I just placed tofu in the press turned the dial to press and left setting in the strainer for 15 minutes as I prepped all my other items. Grateful for the ingenuity .

Fiddling around and adjusting it just isn't as seamless as I hoped. I can get it to do what I want, but I think it could be easier.

Legit, one of the best single-task kitchen utensils if you eat tofu often. It saves so much time and counter space when pressing the water out of the tofu. Just make sure you line the grooves on the trays up with the presser, then twist down as far as it will go.The presser is easy to use and the trays are easy to clean. The only regret I have is not investing in a tofu press sooner.

It’s ok, but it stops tightening like a 1/2 inch between the two plates. So I don’t get a full, tight press from it. And I like my tofu super super firm and water-less. It’s also really tough to align the presser with the 4 tracks in order to slide the plates onto the presser. I’m returning it. I love “that tofu thing” for pressing tofu. And it’s only a few bucks more.

For the price this is the best tofu press I've used.I can't compare it to the pricy products over $30.00 as I can't see a need for spending any more than the cost of this item.The tofu presses I used over the years required saucers or plates to collect the pressed liquid. This press is self contained and made no mess at all. I'm thinking of buying a second one for camping gear.

I bought this as a warehouse deal and I think it would work alright, however the one I received had a crack along the green brace near the screw. I imagine someone turned it way too much and broke the plastic. If you are careful, I imagine this would work, the rest of the parts are sturdy.

I eat a vegan diet and have been pressing the water from tofu with anything in my kitchen that will do the job. This has been going on for quite sometime and decided its time to purchase a press. The press I chose Simple Plastic Tofu Press, WORKS! I am so glad that I purchased this item. It has made the job much easier.

It works, but I want to find one that doesn't flex/bend like this one does. I need a firm, dry tofu and pressing it is the only way to achieve that texture - this works, but it's fiddly because of the plastic bending

This works super well! If you slowly drain the tofu, it will not bulge out the sides. To get super firm tofu, I will lay the tofu flat and drain it that way, then cut it in half and turn it standing upright and press one final time. BOOM! Super firm tofu!
