A good quality doorbell
Update 11/7/21 I contacted customer service via email to find out if it was possible to resync the doorbell and chime. Turns out there is a way! Doorbell is working just as good as day one. Customer service response to symc the button and chime: 1. Reset the Plug in Receiver (Do this if you need to change ringtones, if your receiver is randomly chiming or if step #2 did not work) a) Please clear out all settings of your plug in receiver by pressing the Music Control button for 5 seconds or until you hear a "pairing alert chirp" and see a quick flash. b) Verify that your push button is not connected to the receiver by pressing the push button, the receiver should not chime. Once it is done, do the pairing operation: 2. Pairing and Assigning/Changing Ringtones a) Select desired ringtone by pressing Music Control button. b) Set Receiver into pairing mode by pressing the Volume and Music Control buttons on the receiver simultaneously. A chime and LED flashing will indicate the ready status. c) Quickly pair push button with the receiver by pressing the push button. d) Press again the push button to hear the tune you selected, which means that your operation is completed successfully. Original Post: I purchased this item back in Nov 2018. Initial setup was easy, i used the double stick tape. plug in the chime part, peel the tape, stick it to the button, press the button to the door. In my case the chime plugin part is right on the other side of the door, talking 3 ft away. That was pretty easy. For the first year or so it worked great. Then it started to not chime when the button was pressed. Sometimes it worked other times it wouldn't. Took repeated presses and it would chime. I replaced the battery and it worked a little bit better. Still would not always chime, but a quick double tap seemed to always work. Figured if someone needed me that badly they would press the button twice anyway. Fast forward a few months later, pressing the button would light up the button but no chime at all. No matter how much you press the button. The chime plugin receiver works fine, turning up the volume, changing the right tone all work. Pressing the button does nothing. For the price it's not a bad doorbell, but very unreliable. Might last a year, might last a month. There seems to be no way to resync the doorbell to the receiver so you are just out of luck when it stops working. I would not recommend this product to be reliable enough to alert you grandma is okay or for anything that requires any kind of level of reliability.

Good price, great product... easy install.
I received this product very quickly and it works great! It has a nice clear sound and I can hear it perfectly. Note: I live in a two bedroom apartment, the reason I bought this product was because I have a patio outside my front door. The doorway to the patio has an actual house door at the entrance, making it so when people walked up and knock on the door they think you are knocking on the apartment door, which you are not. You have to open that door, walked across the patio and then you will need to knock on the front door. Because of this setup I cannot hear anyone who knocks on my front door. My company is used to calling and telling me there are here so I can open both doors. This does not work for delivery people however. Since I have received this product, that issue had been eliminated. Yay!! I was concerned as some people mentioned reception problems and I going from a very outside location into my apartment. I did not have an issue with this. The installation was easy and quick, with screws and a double stock adhesive so I had to different ways to mount it. The volume is great, I can hear it clearly, with no issues. And there are a lot of chimes to choose from. It is not really a down side, but I wish it had come with more standard ones. I mean you get a few like the traditional bell chime, and it also has one of a dog barking, but then it seems to jump straight into full musical songs. I wish they had more of an extended traditional one. But I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a doorbell! If there are issues with the product later I will update my review.

These are a Must
I do have a doorbell, but this works better because it lets me know someone is messing around my front door. Now, when packages are delivered this thing goes off in the house and we know someone is coming up towards the front door. I love getting my packages off the stoop before the porch pirates can get them. I also feel more secure at night knowing if anyone approaches, we'll know about it ahead of his reach the door. I've even got one low down on the front of my garage door (I have caught someone out there messing with my cars). You need to place it where you won't catch movement from the street. I placed mine facing the back of my parked vehicles so that it does see the streets. It still catches movements in your drive way. We were catch a lot of birds and other smaller animals on the porch and I just aimed put it on the back of the porch rail higher up so anything walking around low, didn't set it off unless they were big as a large dog. Even though we're in a residential area on the edge of zoo (or so we think with all the wild animals around), we don't get it set off very often. Others who come to my door are startled that it sounds to them like the doorbell went off since they can hear the sound thru the door (metal). I've seen people approach and take off when the bell starts sounding. Guess they were up to no good. If you get packages, you need this. Not only does it alert you, but it alerts the person coming up that he's set off the bell and someone could answer it pretty fast. I have not had a package or anything disturbed since we've had our first one years ago. It takes longer to unwrap these things than it does to install them. So simple. Unpack, stick up one end around area you want monitored and plug in the other end and you're in business. They're also great for when you leave your garage door open while you're working. I have one that I use without permanently attaching it to anything and I just set it up in the garage where it can detect anyone approaching or going in my garage. Another person I know uses one in their house to know when her cat gets in a guest room. Anything you want to protect is a reason to have one. Friend with a pool has one up so he knows when someone (like a child) heads outside. The only limit to usefulness is your imagination. I, for one, will never be without. Ever.

Great Product, Poor Mounting Mechanism
When I first bought this bell, there was only 1 review, but I thought I would try it out. The range is fantastic! My door is farther than average from my front gate. So, all the other brands won't work since they all have limited ranges which is dumb. This was the only door bell that had a long range, didn't look ugly, and had a good price. The bell itself just plugs into any outlet and that's super convenient...much more so than those other dumb brands who run on D-batteries. You can follow the manual to set the ring tone (many to choose from) and ring volume. Very easy. However, there is no memory. So if you unplug it and plug it back in, you'll have to set up both again. Not a huge problem in most cases, but it would be nice to have. I used the included double-side tape to glue the button on a stucco wall near my gate. However, the tape's strength is poor. The button fell off after the first rain. But hey, now I know the button can withstand a 4-foot fall without breaking :) I bought some 3M double-side tape from the hardware store and re-mounted the button. It has stayed on ever since...through several rains. The 3M tape isn't anything special...just regular tape. So if the manufacturer could include better tape, that would be much more helpful. Who knows how many buttons have broken from falling on the ground. I've used this product for about 3 months now, so I can't comment on the battery life, but right now I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a long range remote wireless doorbell.

The doorbell alarm was a little smaller than I expected. This is a plus! The installation was very easy. I first connected the two sided tape to the doorbell push button. Once it was stuck to the outside of my house, I used the included screws to permanently fasten the button to the exterior wall. The siding on the front of my house by the door is wooden, so I didn't have to pre-drill holes and install the included drywall plugs. I was pleasantly impressed with the range of the wireless doorbell. I know many wireless products claim 500-1000 feet, however that range is only if you are in the middle of a flat desert with no walls. There are several walls between where I placed the bell and the button. The total feet for installation is (guessing) 25 feet. I have had zero issues with the wireless connection. The bell chimes every time. The only "con" I have about the doorbell is that it has way too many bell tones. Cycling through the tones is pretty annoying. However, if you unplug the unit or lose power it starts at bell #1 again. I'm using the first sound, so that works great for me. At the highest volume, the bell tone sounds a bit distorted as if the speaker can't handle it being that loud. I turned it down a bit and it is still plenty loud enough to be heard throughout the house. I installed the doorbell in the center of the house and on a lower level floor. I'm very impressed and I think I am going to purchase another button. It works great and saved me a ton of time trying to figure out the wiring of the previous wired system that is missing parts and wasn't functioning. Time will tell how long the battery lasts and how well the unit will function during a Michigan winter. So far, I'm very happy.

So far exceeds my expectations 😎
First off I've done way too much research & read too many reviews to warrant the purchase of a door bell but after reading Amazon reviews I decided to give this door bell a try. Since I have to mount it in an area that is exposed to the elements, my previously wired bell left an opening in the siding, I needed one that was somewhat waterproof. Now I understand that it's best mounted in a dry location and since this was the only option I had I did mount it where it's left open to rain. I've had it outside now 1 month & living in coastal South Carolina we have had weather extremes. From mid 70!s with high humidity to low 30's with lots of driving rain. So far.....it is still working. I like the fact that it can be mounted sideways so it covers where old bell was, I used the tape to mount as I didn't want to drill any more holes & it hasn't moved ( also used the tape because when they power wash my house I need to remove it), the size is nice and I like that it lights up once pressed & color white is a true white. As for the tones they are varied & easy to set but I did find that once I unplug the inside unit it wipes out the tone I've set making me go through the motions again. The volume level adjustment is not the best but ....it's a door bell. For me it's either too high or too low but I'd rather it be loud than not be able to hear it at all. Since the base lights up when operating it does drive my cats somewhat crazy so that's entertaining. I would recommend this door bell as so far it's working as advertised. The sleek design is a plus and the varied tones are interesting. CONS: so far none

Also Great for Non Doorbell use.
SadoTech Model C Wireless Doorbell Operating at over 500-feet Range with Over 50 Chimes, No Batteries Required for Receiver, (White), Fixed Code C Series SadoTech Model C Wireless Doorbell Operating at over 500-feet Range with Over 50 Chimes, No Batteries Required for Receiver, (White), Fixed Code C Series Excellent product works right out of the box. I did not buy this for a doorbell. I needed some way for my wife, who has some health problems, to be able to get my attention when I was downstairs. I never considered a wireless doorbell until, I read some reviews and saw one from someone who used a product similar to this for that exact purpose. Based on all the positive reviews of this product I bought it. I could not be any happier. Slight setback. The bell does not always respond on the first press. The blue light goes on but the receiver does not respond. It is not a distance problem as I have tried it right next to the receiver. It is inconsistent as some days it will respond right away. Has anyone else experienced this. This somewhat important to me for what I am using this for. For the time being I am taking one star off. After using it for awhile it seems to have become consistent in its response and works all the time. I am not sure why it was somewhat erratic but right now all is fine and I went back to 5 stars. In my usage, rather then strictly as a doorbell, it is possible that I would notice a missed ring rather then a person using it as a doorbell. If someone outside pressed the button and was not sure it rang they would just do it again and the owner would be unaware. No matter what this is an excellent product. After using this for a longer period of time I have to say it is a great product. I know I am using it in a way different from its intended use but it is serving perfectly well as a notification mechanism when i am need somewhere else in the house. It is better then using a push to talk phone, walkie talky, or intercom. Plus a lot cheaper.

Portable door alarm
This product came with the receiver/chime unit plus a wireless stick-on doorbell button. I put the button on the back door (I already had a front door alarm, but we couldn't hear it upstairs) and I bought an optional motion detector (not always available on Amazon) which also pairs with the chime. I put the detector on the front porch at a right angle to the door and I get a chime anytime someone steps onto my porch. The doorbell button and the motion detector come with a button battery. The pairing of chime to doorbell button and chime to motion detector is very easy. The chime has dozens of different sounds available, and because it is wireless I can plug the chime into any power outlet in the house and be sure of hearing it. If I crank the volume up on the chime (four settings) I can hear it from anywhere in the house anyway. I can pair a different sound/tune for the doorbell button and the motion detector, so I can tell by the sound which door has visitors. We use this to get packages off the porch as soon as Amazon leaves them. It also serves as a second burglar alarm to our ADT in case we forget to arm the ADT at night. I did have to change the battery in the motion detector after just a few months. The only indication was that the chime, once activated, wouldn't stop ringing, so the detector battery being bad wasn't an obvious or intuitive fix. You'd think it wouldn't trigger the chime at all with a bad battery. *** After a year *** : I'm still very happy with this, although during really cold weather (cold for where I live, about 15F) the motion detector stopped working. After the weather got warmer it started working again. So in my part of the country it looks like it will not work a few days every year due to cold. In the northern midwest it might be for a longer period. And all of that is assuming the cold weather was the cause of the work stoppage. I did replace the battery when it first quit while cold, but that didn't help, so I am convinced it was the cold weather.

An Inexpensive and Well-made Solution
This product is an easy door bell solution. The sending unit (button) comes complete with a 12 volt battery. I was unaware of this at the time of my purchase and added batteries to my order. The sending unit t can be easily affixed by placing the 3M adhesive (included) to the back of the unit. I chose to secure the unit by screws (also included). To do this I had to drill holes in the back of the plastic. The locations are marked, but must be drilled. The manufacturer could improve the unit by either having the holes predrilled, or an easy snap-out plug installed. The receiving unit is simply plugged into a close plug receptacle and the type of chime and volume selected. This is easily done by pushing the appropriate buttons (on the side of the unit) up or down. In a matter of minutes the installation can be completed. My installation was beside a steel door. The receiving unit is approximately 8 feet from the sending unit. I have experienced no difficulties and the unit performs as expected. I cannot attest to how well this unit and battery strength can stand-up to a Canadian winter. As the batteries are easily available at low cost and replacement is a simple matter, I'm not overly concerned. Given the cost, quick delivery and performance of this product to-date, I would highly recommend this unit.
