Great Craft for Little Boys
My 4 year old son LOVED this! I first purchased the "My First Sticky Mosaics: Vehicles", and he did those with no problem, so we moved on to this one with the dinosaurs. It is a bit tougher because the stickers are smaller, but he can mostly do it without any help from me, and the finished product is nicer. We've given one to grandma, hung one up in his room, etc and you can tell that my son is proud of his work.Another reviewer complained about the stickers not being labelled by number (as to what color they are). That is a valid complaint - sometimes it's tough to distinguish which color is which. I had to do it for my son a few times, but then he actually got the hang of it and was able to correctly separate them out himself. (Lesson learned - never underestimate what your kid can do!)My son isn't usually very 'crafty', but for some reason, he really enjoys these. He'll sit down for a half-hour or so to work on it, which is great for when I need to make dinner or feed the baby or just need some quiet time!I'm on here because he's been asking me to buy more, and I'll also be buying another one as a gift for an upcoming birthday party.

A HUGE HIT
My son received this as a gift. Once opened, it was hard to make him take a breather. This kit comes with everything you need make 4 mosaic pictures that can be hung up to display. They even include extra mosaic tiles. The best way I can describe this craft is that it's like paint by numbers except you place small mosaic tiles on numbered spaces instead of paint. The mosaics are on a pad with paper that needs to peeled off in order to stick on the dinosaur picture. I was not sure if my son would have a long enough attention span to finish the project in one sitting but he loved it.My only complaint, and not worth deducting a full star, is that the mosaic pads are not labeled with numbers. You get a dinosaur picture with numbers on it to place the corresponding mosaics but the mosaic key only provides a color guide that doesn't always match up. Placing numbers on the back of the mosaic pad would be perfect rather then guessing. Also, you need to keep track of the mosaic pads with younger kids in order to preserve every mosaic tile needed to finish all four pictures.Overall, a great art project for boys. I plan on buying more since they have been a huge hit. A great way to spend a rainy day!

Not enough stickers
On the plus side - this is durable, the stickers are metallic/textured for a more interesting final product. The dinosaurs are colorful and my son really enjoyed doing these (although at 4, they were too big for him to finish in one sitting by himself). That said, it was very difficult to differentiate some of the colors and definitely not something my 4 year old could have done by himself. I matched the colors to the numbers for him before starting. The dark blue in particular was only slightly darker than the light blue and did not look like the picture at all. The orange and pink were very similar too. And worst of all, we ran out of one of the colors before finishing. We used more of another color, but it was disappointing and confusing for a kid who is supposed to be following the number/color chart.Overall, it was still a lot of fun and the materials were good quality, I just wish that the colors had been more distinctive and that there was enough of each.

Love this project, plus a tip
TIP: It can be tedious to peel all the tiny backings off the sticky tiles. My 5 year old loves the project, but was quickly discouraged when having to stop and peel every single backing off. (It's hard, they are tiny!) I took some packing tape and taped the back of each block of tiles, essentially making the backing into one big piece. It's MUCH MUCH easier to peel the tiles off one solid backing that peeling each tiny backing off. My son LOVES it now and is looking forward to hanging them in his room when they are done.

Will purchase more!
Excellent product. I will buy more in different designs to have on hand for other children's birthdays, Christmas, vacations, long car rides, camping trips, etc. I purchased this for my son's 8th birthday. He loved it! It kept him entertained for hours. He followed the suggested design (clearly labeled) and did some of his own. He was so proud when he finished one of the designs. He still has more to go, but is saving them. The only negative comment I have is the colored stickers come on sheets that match the designs. Some of the colors are hard to distinguish. The manufacturer did number the heavy duty sheets, but not the stickers. (You follow an instruction sheet to match the colors). Take a marker and write on the back of the stickers the color number- this will save your child frustration later. You will not regret this buy!! Buy more than one- you will want more than one.

5 yo son loved this set and it kept him busy for several afternoons
My son started with the "My First" sets when he was a toddler. We got him this set this past Christmas and he loved it! It has much tinier pieces and more complicated patterns, and each design is completely filled with squares to fill, so it kept him busy for several hours over quite a few days. I really liked the different textures and designs of the colors, though it would be more helpful if Orb Factory labeled the sheets of stickers on the back with the number they correspond to. It was tough to distinguish a few of the shades, but once we did I wrote on the back of each and it was easy to use afterward. Great set, I highly recommend this one!

A Sticky Good Time
My 6 year old son just loved this gift. It has hundreds of sticky squares (approx. 1/8 inch, maybe smaller) and the child has to put the correct colored sticker onto its assigned numbered square to create a picture. Sort of like a paint-by-number. It can be quite time consuming; he needed Dad's help but that is part of the fun. Motor skills are definately used for this project. It comes with 4 dinosaur pictures that are on a heavy paper/cardboard (similiar to the thickness of a gift box). The colored tiles are textured for a scale effect and some are shiny. Really pretty when put together. I would even consider hanging these on my sons walls in his dinosaur themed room. One drawback is that some of the tiles are similar in color and it can be hard to distinguish the coordinating color with the number. Not a big deal though.

Brilliant mosaics and fab designs for boys
If you haven't bought these before - they are brilliant. Larges pieces of card with pictures on them and then sheets of puffy mosaics which have a sticky backing - like double sided sellotape not glue, so no mess.Suitable for children 5 and over. Brilliant for plane journeys, taking to family or just passing time quietly. This is a guaranteed activity for getting kids to sit still and be focused on something. Amazing.

Great set
This set is really good value for money, all four of the dinosaurs have lots of sticking and look really good when complete. I bought these for my 5 year old and he could do them by himself, and is proud of the results. The key is easy to follow so good for younger children. I actually completed one of the dinosaurs which took about an hour, and was therapeutic!

Disappointed with missing items
I'm a bit torn here... my son positively loves these mosaics but we were very disappointed to discover that a whole selection of tiles were not included and he therefore can't finish the mosaics. I've contacted the manufacturer but no cigar. So short of having to but the set again we are left with unfinished mosaics which is incredibly disappointing for a 4 year old.. :(Dreadfully unhappy The ORB Factory Sticky Mosaics DinosaursThe ORB Factory Sticky Mosaics Dinosaurs

Great mosaic.
Got this for my 8 year old. Great pictures and sturdy. Let his 6 year old brother do a picture. Would def buy again. Only thing would say is would be good if coloured square patches were numbered underneath as some very very close in colour so hard to tell apart. Overall excellent though and constructive.
