Frost KingL347 Self-Adhesive Open Cell Tape, 17 Ft L X 1/2, Polyfoam, Charcoal, 3/8" W, 1/4" T

This weatherseal foam will soon disintegrate when exposed to the weather. I applied it around the exterior door of my home office and, after just a few months, it started turning to powder, especially when touched. If, somehow, the foam manages not to break down, the adhesion will and the tape will simply fall off. If you're looking to seal your home against the weather, look for a product that withstands the weather, not this one which succumbs to it.

I am making waterproof face shields for an area nursing home. I am using this foam to go across the forehead. It’s soft and works great. For people with a large nose it needs to be doubled. I was unable to find any of double the thickness. Doubling it works well. Use a little glue if they don’t want to stick together.

The product I received looked like it was cut with scissors by hand by a child. The width was completely inconsistent and it was shoved into the plastic packing haphazardly, not rolled up around the cardboard center as it should have been. The foam itself felt like it could be permanently warped if squeezed too hard.There are much better brands for weather stripping- I would avoid this one.

Great deal for our sliding door ! We installed a cat/ pet door with a flow on it so our cat could go out 24/7, and air and water would always just make its way in the kitchen . By putting this on the side of the sliding door, and then rubbing white caulk on it - it created a waterproof seal on the foam . Which doesn’t come with. But just an idea for creators out there. Works great and looks nice!

I needed this to hide a gap between my french doors, not for insulation. It was a little too thick but the next size down was too thin, and other options were more expensive than I wanted to pay. My research online found that this material naturally turns yellow over time so I was prepared for that, but not for it to happen after only a week! But it still serves the purpose and was so cheap that I’m ok still giving it 4 stars. I may paint over the yellow if it gets worse, since I don’t need it for insulation, only privacy.

After applying it, I noticed there was dust and debris on the adhesive side on certain parts of the roll. Initially it worked, but after a few days the sticking power went down the drain. However this could be bc my package was slightly opened and dust may have stuck to the adhesive.

I purchased this for use in my apartment because my apartment door leading to the hall had a lot of space between the door and the door frame. Essentially, when the door was closed, you could see clear outlines of light coming in from the hall. This resulted in a lot of sound coming in from the hall as well, so I looked into ways to fix that. This foam tape worked to fill in the gaps and there's been some reduction in sound (it sounds muffled now instead of loud and clear). I did NOT buy this for weather proofing so I can't comment on that.Application is pretty simple. You peel the backing off the tape and then apply it to the surface you want. It is hard to peel the backing off, and it requires several attempts to make sure you're not actually pulling the foam off the tape instead of the tape off the backing.The reason I gave this 4 stars is that if there is constant friction, the tape has a tendency to pull off. I bought this expecting it to compress easily in the gaps when I closed the door (thus providing a better "seal"). It works great for the particularly large gaps in my doorway. However, I ended up purchasing  Frost King L342BH Polyurethane Foam Tape 1/4-Inch, Brown  to fill in the gaps 1/4 inch and smaller because this 1/2 inch tape just rubbed off completely after a week or two. Together, both sizes of tape work well to fill the gaps.Removal of the tape is okay. If you peel it off slowly, it won't rip off any paint but slowly is key (I didn't on one section and it took off a small strip). It leaves behind a slightly sticky residue which I imagine can be removed through some normal household methods.It is also not a very attractive look (dark grey and light brown along my door frame) but it works. It looks like this size (1/2 inch) only comes in grey. If they offered a white version (like they do for the 1/4-inch) I probably would have purchased that instead.

Product is exactly as described. Fits perfect. Only gave 4 stars, because it is mainly white as described, but first 4 ft, it is yellow. I am sure it is just a defect that is probably just an isolated case. Hopefully, I won't need all of it, so that I won't have to use it again. Would buy from company again.

I have been refinishing and reglazing some windows at my cottage. I went up to install the rebuilds and apply the weather stripping yesterday. I managed to get it to stick enough to install the sashes in place but it was a fight. Fortunately the windows I used the foam with will not be removed or be open very often if at all so there's no reason to believe I'll have further trouble with the foam adhesive releasing. I will have two more sashes that will be the same in terms of removal frequency. Because of the reasonable pricing of this weatherstripping, I will likely buy two more packages to use on these sashes. Because the other are on hinges and are being opened and closed often, I don't feel this weatherstripping will hold onto the frame. I will therefore have to try and find a product with better holding power for the 6 sashes I will have left.

Excelente para proteger un hueco que tenía por donde se me pasaba un filito de luz a través de lampuerta; se lo puse a la altura del marco de tal manera que al abrir y cerrar la puerta ya queda sellada ahora sí mas hermética y me quedó totalmente ya cubierto el claro y no me entra ni luz del exterior, ni polvo ni se me sale el clima cuando lo tengo prendido. La adhesión es 100% buena y tu lo cortas conforme el largo que quieras, el ancho de la cinta es perfecto para cubrir huecos pequeñitos como lo cita el ancho de la misma en el empaque. A mí me funcionó perfecto

me sirve muy bien para cubrir grietas y evitar paso de polvo, insectos y aire frio

por el frio necesitaba sellar mis ventanas, de todas la opciones esta fue la mejor, tiene buen adhesivo, y por mis ventanas no se cuela el frio...

We received this in a timely fashion.The packaging was efficient.However when opening the product it almost looked used.The dirty side did not have clean cut or finish. Possibly end of a roll?Not that it should affect its purpose, but i feel i am buying something not 100%
